See you in Berlin Carpet? I'm already in. Got my flights for £32 rtn on day easyjet summer schedule came out! I see the entry fee goes up after end of April. Just spent 2 h at lunchtime trying to find a decent hotel, still not found one...
I'm sure there must be somewhere in Berlin where we can have a few bevvies after the run Coops!
Really struggling for running motivation at the moment. Just feel I deserve a break after Paris, shame Edinburgh's so close.
Another vintage performance from the toon last night. Predicting a cricket score at Old Trafford.
Berlin is prob too early for me, as it will be in term time, was trying to avoid having to go back to work straight after. It was hard going in after Paris, so if possible I would avoid it, but my friend has a flat in Berlin so accom. would be free.
Does anyone know when the Nice half is? I quite fancy that as again I have free accomodation.
Very jealous of your gardening leave Carpet, my long hols seem a long way off.
I'm sure beers will be found no problem - the Germans enjoy their jugs. I will look into a hotel v close to start/finish - will let you know if I have any luck Pseudo.
Aim was to ensure that unlike previous 2 marathons I was photographed with a 90 year old finishing in front of me. Achieved. Great photo - smiling, looking straight into the camera etc, then on my chin all you can see is about 10 gallons of dribble (couldn't see that on the net prior to purchase!)and topped off with Guys favourite, the bleeding nipple mark. Just as well it was only 15 Euros.
Rumours abound here that Petrov is about to leave Paradise at the end of the season. Disappointed, but not gutted. Players come, players go. So long as he is replaced. Lenny is about to sign a 1 year deal. Ratbhoy will stay. Thats my prediction.
Last mention on Berlin as I can't be arsed to find the thread. I stayed at the Hotel Gates last year just off of the Kurfurstendamm, and it is 3 stops from the start line on the metro. Very nice hotel and reasonably priced with free internet access as well for the results.
Pseudo, you'll probably find somewhere for a few beers, but I don't think you'll find an escalator quiz or pub fun run.
It aint over til the fat Johnbhoy sings, but we totally outplayed them today, Bern. Well happy with that result, although Ratbhoy might be out for the rest of the season with a hamstring injury. Some tough games coming up - HIbs and Aberdeen at home, then Hearts and Motherwell away. All possible slip-ups. But I dont see us doin g it twice.

Carpet - not doing Berlin now. Long story, but planning a stupidly quick FLM06 (if the coach has his way with me). will give you a call

I reckon it's about a mile and a half from start / finish. 4*, c. £75 / night (110 €)
Cheaper to book direct on their website than Expedia, since includes taxes.

First run since FLM yesterday. 5M on the tready and I was tired. Well my legs were. Same again today, then try for a 13M on Sun before the BIG game.

I'm just jealous.
