for some reason a load of skinny bints are meant to make us wanna r*n - I dunno about you but no part of my training regime involves standing in that position in the street?
No gym membership - since my plodding was going ok and I'm on a budget (sodding w*dding) I haven't joined a gym since getting home from London. I also justified this to myself because I really hadn't used the London gym much at all in the last few months, so I didn't think I was missing anything. Probably a little short sighted of me I guess.
I do have light hand-weights at home, could do a upper-body work out. Now there's a thought....
very fast and furious and quite high impact - lots of running and kicking and then hard upper body stuff like pressups and tricep dips, and even a few abs at the end
I kind of knew I should go for a longer stretch afterwards but I got home in case agent rang me
which she didn't
think I'll add it to my list
hey you can't pay out for a gym all the time for the odd time you might need it because of injury? But good to have a plan b like an exercise tape at home or summat?
I do do weights at the gym, and classes, and my PT it there - but then I don't work full time cos of the kids so it is a very different case for me
dreamt we were re-locating to America last night, cos the choice was there or Aus and I thought that the flights and phone calls would be cheaper to stay in touch with the UK from America
Flr - I'm shocked you thought USA was a better option than Aust, you know me in Aust, you are very welcome down here!!
sorry for that disappearance, Boss came to chat about spreadsheet, fun and games.
what I was going to say was.... I do have an exercise tape, two in fact, and they *are* unpacked and sitting in the tv cabinet at home. another good thought.
body attack sounds good, very good in fact.
before I took up plodding I used to get to the gym about 6 days per week (for cardio and weights and I loved aerobics) when at uni and only working part-time, then when I started full-time work, that dropped to 3-4 times per week. I tended to get to my favourite aerobic classes and less of the cardio/weights part. That went on for 3 years. Then I shifted to London and started off ok with a gym and classes and cardio and weights, but then found it harder and harder to get time to get to the gym, because weekends were alway too busy with travelling and seeing family and each time I changed jobs (I did contract work in London) I seemed to move further and further away from the gym. Then one job, my boss did triathlons and iron-man competitions and plodded home as training a bit of the time, and it got me thinking plodding could be easier to fit into my lifestyle. It was mighty hard work to just get started (which I know everyone in this thread understands!) but I was so pleased with myself for doing it and found it was much more time-efficient, and thats how its been for the last 18 months.
And until this niggling quad for the last few weeks, I haven't had a single injury, so guess it was kind of due!!!

Although as a mother of two children who watch I suppose I should be outraged

Got to go to physio at lunchtime so it's sandwiches for lunch again today.
I need to pack all my stuff for Durham as well.
time for breakfast after morning run (now my bum hurts)
It wasn't a small pumkin. So there is more pumkin soup today for the forum.
Tomorrow I'll add some tomato to the pumkin soup.
<Looking forward to yeo arriving in Belgium for massage>
