Pocket PC Owners

I've written some Pocket PC running log software and I'm looking for a few volunteers to test it for me.

The software is effectively a computerized training log for Pocket PC's e.g. Compaq Ipaq (must be Windows CE 3.0 or above). Aswell as the usual features of entering run details, this also calculates fell grades for routes, comparative paces for flat and differingly hilly routes and also predicts race times based on recent runs.

If you're interested in testing it for me please drop me an email at andrew@trailgauge.com you'll get a free copy of the final version for your efforts.

They'll also be a Palm and ordinary desktop windows version available later.

Comments

  • Is it compatible with the Psion series 5 Andrew?
  • would it work with a palm 105?
  • No it won't be compatible with either a Psion or a Palm. I will do a Palm version when I've finished the Pocket PC version.

    I thought they'd stopped making Psions ?
  • They might have stopped making the Psion 5, but I havn't stopped owning one...
  • I thought that palm looked like it was going to go bust? could be wrong though, but i do remember being mildly p'd off that i had jumped aboard a sinking ship so to speak.
  • Palm aren't going bust, even though their profits and share price are down. They also license out their operating systems to others, so we're likely to see Palm-based systems for quite a while.
  • goodgood. I quite like mine!
  • What about a HP Jornanda 565?
    Would be interested!

    the S@ss
  • Count me in for the Palm version.
  • S@ss send me an email to andrew@trailgauge.com to participate. It would help me if you could find out which CPU the Jornanda uses. Cheers.

It'll be a couple of months before the Palm version is ready for testing I'm afraid, but I'll post back then.
  • brilliant, will keep an eye out, or shall i send you my e-mail address so you can contact me when the palm version is ready?
  • Dis the palm version ever get developed? if so does anyone know where to get hold of a copy?
  • Hi Andrew
I'm just about to ping you a mail - I'd love to try this out with my Axim that runs Pocket PC 2003.

    Thanks
    Marianne
