You could do STONEHENGE STOMP (10/20/30/40kms) next Sunday. A walkers' event which also takes runners, but you have to time yourself. Entry is £3.50, and you get an embroidered badge. Certificate 50p extra. Place to doss the night before £1.
Nigel - I live further up Dorset but do many of the runs around but never done the Harbour at Poole. Would be an interesting run though. If you ever fancy it let me know, no idea how far it is though.
Shades, After trawling through prehistoric emails i have come across your addy, i'll drop a cheque in the post asap along with my return address, do you need a SAE (or is that just for race no's)
Tim, Thats a good result for Colin (he'll be after your 24hr record next) !
Is this race just a one - off ? or will it feature in the race calendar on a regular basis ?
Deadbeat, I might do that (get in touch re Poole Harbour). I've done a run from Swanage along the ridge to Corfe and Kimmeridge and back along the coast two years running and it'd be good to have a change!
Rosas Mum - you left your directory behind on the seat, K2 gave it back to me (we weren't sure at the time whose it was). Email me your address and I'll send it on.
FA - Postage is FOC, all part of the service.
Anyone else interested in buying a directory just email me.
Nigel - I no longer do off road but the Stonehenge Stomp is a great event, not too hard and fantastic value for money. You would love it Hippo.
ant, Colin should find my 24 hour record easy to beat if he's sensible. If he trains properly he should be up with the leaders or leading it himself but I'd rather he took it easy on his first attempt. I don't even know if he's entered Hull. He won't do Tooting cos its too close to London to Brighton and he's got good record there.
Tim : London to Brighton and Tooting Bec is a nice double - just look at what Geoff Oliver/Sid Smiler Morrison and others have done over the years, Phil Addams did both and even won Tooting a few years ago! (Its a double I've completed twice so far)
The marathon results are on the website now BUT I am very upset as mine is wrong. I have emailed as it is quite important to me -the time they have put up is stupid any way as I would have had to run faster in the last 3.8 than at any other point in the race!
I feel a bit silly to make a fuss over what is not a fast time but I was so pleased about it.....
Having just looked at the results, it just occurred to me that maybe the time limit, as they say "imposed on thecourse" was cos of the delayed start? You did say it was getting dark didn't you Huppo?
Nigel - I think NTT must mean no time taken. Seems a bit tough as I was told by the marshalls at the marathon point that they might not be there when I reached it and that I should record my own time.
I think they've got me as Andrew Worrall. My marathon split was 2:47 and I think the other runner who did an extra lap was Stephen (he over took me at about 28.5 miles). I'll have to email them again.
Shades-Didn't really look in your directory last year, probably cus I was injured a lot and already booked most of my races. Had a look through it last night and its full of brill races. Will keep my weekends full for years.

My legs won't be ready for it though!

Too early for stomping though!!

Don't tell me the thought didn't cross your mind, why do you think i'm sending for one by post rather than collect one from you in person at Taunton
(checks bag to see if directory still there-she finished ahead of me you know)
