Sounds like torture

I had a free session with a personal trainer as a prize for being last in the triathlon(63 mins for 500m swim, 10k bike and 5k run)
Actually it was three sessions
Didnt go back after the first
He said, oh you want to lose weight, and then proceeded to take me through the most pathetic workout ever
I had to do a hard tready session after that so my gym trip wasnt wasted
I can stretch out and my arms - it gets a bit crowded with more than 2 in though - much bumoing of strange legs - and i know theyre riddled with bacteria or chlorine - but the jets are wonderful for stiff muscles - i use them to massage injuries and tight bits - which can look very funny if its a groin strain!
steam rooms are my faves
btw - i get lightheaded in the sauna sometimes - nearly passed out in the shower - very embarrassing - what causes this?
Almost as much fun as doing tricep extensions with a balloon between my elbows. I reckon the next thing will be lying on strips of paper to make sure our arms don't drift during the chest track.
Desmond Morris wrote in "Bodywatching" that the typical woman's waist gets about 6 inches bigger after having children. I can almost agree with him. Mine used to be 22" and now, at the same weight but after lots of pregnancies, nothing will persuade it below 25", and that's on a cauliflower-free day.

I think if you pay they make more of an effort, or you wont go back and they lose money

Yeek! Look at the time! If I stay up much longer I'll turn into a pumpkin. Or two half-pumpkins if I don't remove this piece of string.

but it only happens on the weights and the rower though - i dont understand it?
Vrap - ive come round to thinking differently about fitness training - would quite to work with older and less fit people who want to exercise for health rather than superfit who are doing it for 'excellence'
getting older and my own health has humbled me - 10 years ago i would have been one of those people who felt smug about the larger people in the gym i am ashamed to say - but i have been taught a tough lesson!
