Hmmm.... I was thinking of not doing this one, but seeing my name on a list makes me want to do it!!!!
I have a half 2 weeks before this one... that I think I will be taking as an enjoyable run rather than racing, so perhaps this one could be a PB attempt....
That said there is a 10 mile race in Beds that I might do that is the same day as this one.....
Given my lack of commitment to this one at the mo. I am shifting my name down (and bringing the list onto this page too..)
Which is the other half you're doing Jen? Is it the Hogweed Hilly Half? I'm hoping to do that and then the Taunton Half 2 weeks later. Must be mad! Not bothered about pbs though - they'll both be slow.
Was thinking about the hogweed one but there is a hilly one very local to me in Blackwood so I think I am going to do that one to minimise the travelling and to support the local clubs. I was toying with doing Bath for a PB attempt too but the localness was just too tempting!
Don't know who put my name under 'thinking about it'. Anyone that knows me will tell you that I don't think about it at all!! I always do this marathon.
Judging from your great Cheddar run I'm going to have to put in some extra miles to have any sort of chance of keeping up with you. I must admit though, it would be great to run the race with a partner, mainly for the support and opportunity to pull each other through the tough spots.
Glad to see you've decided to go for this marathon.
Hi to Rich too - great pics
As this event is 2 weeks before London, Hilly will probably run the half as part of her taper.
There's nothing like a list to inspire commitment - Yes, I am in.
Also notice that there is the Duchy Marathon - with a 20 mile option 3 weeks before, a good last long session and the Bideford Half a week before that.
A long distance notice I know, but for those of you, with young children, there is a playtime magic play place a few minutes from the start/ finish, where your kids can play havoc with mine, whilst we all do our thing.
Blimey Rich & YL. After I've finished the half I might just have enough time for quick shower and then get back out to watch you finished the marathon! Puts it in perspective doesn't it?
Oh dear I was planning on cutting down on the No of HMs next year but it is difficult to know which ones to drop. The only obvious 1 is the Norton Radstock'cos it has 2 long steep hills and it will probably be close to Plymouth. I want to do this one, Bath, Bristol, Plymouth, Stroud and Cheddar.
Lol 90 mins, unenhancing it certainly was! My 10k is ok, but am hoping to get a new pb either the end of this year/beginning of next. My PB is 42:06-now ask yl what her best is!!

Mmm, 3:30...I doubt it. I have given up trying, I managed 3:37 at Edinburgh (with THAT hill). Although if the winter goes well I may give it a try.
3:37 is a great time Steady sounds as if 3.30 is a real possibility you know.
