Will do! Not too clear on what the course is going to be like but if its around the town and along the seafront then it can't be that bad - can it?????!!!!
To add to my various aches and pains I spent much of the last two days under my duvet with some 'orrible virus picked up off my darling children. Managed to run all of 5.5 miles (yes, that's five and a half miles!) last week, which included a four mile long run.
The ice pack seems to be doing the business. I even iced my groin for the first time yesterday - how's that for dedication!
Sounds like you are suffering!! As you say only 11 days to go now - I can feel the excitement building!! For some mad reason I am now looking to do the Frinton half marathon this Sunday but that will be my last jaunt before the big day!
Stu - working and drinking the day after the marathon? Sorry mate, can do one better than that - am going dancing (well, dance exams actually)a few hours after the race. Know I must be mad, but hey ....
NN - sounds like you've got your work cut out with all those runs ahead - am considering the Luton marathon but will get some more info first.
NN - think crazy is more like it - can't imagine being able to walk either - I shall probably be moving like a robot, but have been assured by the dance teacher that he'll be able to lead me round - only time will tell!!!
I think the achievement of completing 26.2 miles will be enough for me on the sunday and the pint(s) will be well earned. If you want to show off and go dancing afterwards you definitely must be mad!!!!
Yeah!! I got my transport worries sorted out today. My brother-in-law is going to drive me over - what a star.
NN - when you entered, did you put your team down as URWFRC? I think I did, but am not sure. Was wondering whether we'll have the three members needed for a team result.
If you are short on team members can I become an honourary URWFRC member??? Presume I will be able to e-mail the organisers to get myself added? Intending to run in under 3.5 hours so not sure if I am fast enough for your gang!!!
If you post here - you're a member! So welcome to the URWFRC team. And if you do 3.5, you'll be some way ahead of me - so don't worry about that. I had hoped for 3:45 but would now be chuffed with sub 4. If my knee plays up I'll be happy with any sort of finish at all!
Once Jo has confirmed (I'm sure she will!!), then will drop a quick e-mail to organisers to let them know. Take it we are all meeting up about 30 minutes before the start - Would be good to actually meet my team members!!
Plan at the moment is to meet on the grass outside the front of the school (where the start is), Maurice said he should be able to get a sign saying URWFRC Metting Point put up, so we should be fine!

Or should that be cruel, due to the pain you will be in
I wondered that myself (the cruel bit). If I feel that bad, I'll just stand on his feet and let him do all the work!

Got my number over the weekend - am now 186.
Feeling better already...

Glad you got it sorted ok.
I had to put my club down as my team as we have 3 runners in it also and so are hoping on the team prize.
Isnt it first 3 of a team anyway regardless of sex? Neil, Stu, Jo (in no particular order!) in which case you are fine anyway
