Still waiting also (though I'm going to pop home at lunch time to check for today's post - this FLM lark is no good for my petrol bills). Also going to run Shakespeare if rejected.
Yep, still waiting and waiting. I'm only just coping, but I don't know how long I can last. I've already started dashing to the letter box every time I hear a noise, even though the post has already arrived. I'm even starting to yap like a little terrier! And me, a Kat!
I just want to know if I've been accepted or not so I can book a different marathon if I'm unlucky.
Well if I don't hear today (postman due within the next hour), I can get drunk tonight. The training doesn't start in earnest till I know I'm accepted.
Still waiting after a false alarm yesterday (card for a parcel in the door, turned out to be for my daughter) but there is still a chance anyway. Just kickin around at home, looking out the door.... looking out the window..... looking out the door again.... looking down the road.....
I've not heard from FLM, and I did wait for the postie today and was then late for work, the crazy thing is I do have a charity place, but I still want to know what happened in the ballot. Its now beginning to drive me mad.
I can't start training yet, think I got a small case of the old shin splints, so resting a bit this week. Got an appointment with a physio on Monday, so I'll wait to see what she's got to say. So a drink tonight sounds like a great idea.
Yap! Is that the post I hear! Oh, can't be I'm in work...
Im going away tonight for a week - missed todays post and wont be back until the night of 9th Dec. Have rang the post office but todays post has already gone out! I'll be mad by the time I get back....
Keitho The Shakespeare Marathon (and 1/2M) is a couple of weeks after FLM. It's in Stratford as you'd probably guess from the name. Info at www.shakespearemarathon.org.uk
Suz You could always call the FLM hotline 020 7902 0189 and explain your circumstances. If you sound really desperate they may let you know if you're in or not.
I'm still waiting as well, although I'm lucky enough to have a gold bond place anyway so I'm definately running next year.
post man ( sorry post person ! ) arrived today - no FLM confirmation! From what I read, is the confirmation out today?? Also, does it arrive separately from the main post?? Ta 4 any help...
As I was pottering around my flat this morning I heard the postman putting the post through my letterbox, which included the plopped of a magazine landing on the floor... so with anticipation I proceeded to the front door... only to find it was this months Runners World! Thanks guys!!!
If I see my postman carrying a parcel for me with Flora written on the outside I think I will be sick. My friend at work didn't get in and she is gutted. I would rather go to the dentist without anasthetic!!
Been out for 2 mile run this morning with a mum from the kids school. Just going out again for a two mile run on my own via the main sorting office of Orpington Post Office. Ill have a rumage around whilst Im there to see if I can find our acceptance letters.
Do me a favour and have a look for mine as well! Yes folks you guessed it, I am still waiting. The way I am trying to cope is by telling myself no news is good news. Not sure what the postman has brought today though,if anything as I am out to work in the morning by the time it comes. Anyway fingers crossed, legs, arms, etc etc .
