I can do any weekend - I'll probably do the route a couple more times too, so less chance of getting lost. Then again I'm getting forgetful in my old age so who knows?

FS - 50 - 60 miles all round the essex countryside starting at epping train station - we did 48 miles getting a bit lost and cutting the route short last time

I'd like to point out we only got lost once, and we didn't need signal flares or a helicopter to get us out of essex.

It was a safe and fun event, but i did get a bit excited at the mention of tea, and i knew we had jaffa cakes, so i fell off my bike on the roundabout in front of the station - nobody helped me up either they all just looked at me...

I swear i heard some kid say "mummy why did that man fall off his bike"... yeah well i'd like to know too!

oh an i just stacked it on a 7.5 mile recovery run too - tripped up less than a mile from home and skinned my elbow - must have an inner ear problem.

Monique. If anyone wants to organise something similar for South Yorkshire/Lincolnshire/North Nottinghamshire, then I'd be interested.

My neck of the woods is the Lincolnshire Wolds and I know lots of lovely routes but it's a bit far from West Yorks.

My gran used to live in West Yorkshire Monique, but she is 96 and doesn't have a bike. And anyway she moved back to Wales a couple of years ago.
