cant do both
...I seem to remember the deal with Haggis and Juicer was that we would RUN as much of this as possible...
...and I don't take a liberal attitude to "can't eat during races", as certain forumites will testify...

Food - a rucksack full. Next weekend will be good practice at carrying it all Vrap!
I suspect Lyke Wake will be "run the bits that are runnable and walk the bits that aren't until we're too tired to run, then walk the rest". But we'll need to run chunks of it to get within the cut-off.
Off to get some fell-shoes today.
Can't wait to see your new shoes Vrap... bring 'em round on Monday. I can feel a shopping trip coming on...
The colour will clash dreadfully with my windproof jacket and running tights, though

Juicer, surely you mean run 15 mins, walk 5 if you're doing it with the Haggis ;o)

Welcome to the ranks of Innov-8'ors, they are really good shoes, as you know I've had mine in use on Jura in REALLY boggy conditions and the grips was fantastic.
I still think I am too slow
Pink would have been more subdued than what I've got, and it would've matched my new running kit perfectly.
Hippo - When you say that there are parts you can't run unless your a fell runner? Are these the bits that mortals walk or do you mean that unless your a proper fell runner there is no point entering? Forgive me as probably a stupid question.
There are some very runnable bits too.

I recall running over bits previously thought unrunnable too!!
Its only the thought of the walking (and the 12 hour time limit) that makes me think (crazily) that I can do this...

Danny--the fell runners run up and down the bits thati would think of as mountainous
and they run through the bogs
but there are flat running bits-and the 12 hour cutoff would be ok for most people, but probably not a Hippo
and thats the other thing
