Its Friday. I am off to Totnes for a duathlon tomorrow. Have a few people from RW who are going to be my support crew and keep OH entertained whilst i slog my guts out.
7 mile walk yesterday so mileage on long walks now going up. Just under 11 weeks to the Moonwalk so have to increase every week now.
Big changes once again at work which is stressing me out. Am losing my advisers on Friday and being given a nightmare of a team to manage. I am getting too old for change
Hello........where is everyone? Hope you are all ok.
Walking is going well. Managed 10 miles yesterday. Been walking Friday Saturday and Sunday each weekend. Weight reducing slowly. Will get back to plodding shortly once I can walk the distance comfortably.
Well done with all your walking Speedy. I hope your knees are holding out?
We are off to register for Brighton mara today. It's a bit of a farce IMO but there's no other option if you want to do the event. I'm not running, just supporting.
I hate Brighton marathon. I did 14 miles of it plus 2.5 miles afterwards though! I didn't intend to even start so I'm not ashamed of not finishing! I do hate it though. We won't be doing it again.
Hi all. Well done on the mileage today Limped. That was good. How are you keeping these days.
Weather has been terrible this weekend. We are at the caravan. I managed to walk 3 miles yesterday but it was very wet. Managed to fit in a 4.25 miles today in between heavy showers. The knees aren't too good Limper. Was at doctor on Friday as hands in pain too. She said knees have severe arthritis and apart from pain killers and anti inflammatory tablets all she said was to keep losing weight. Taking more painkillers now especially after walking and at night as pain weakens me.
But hey ho I am not letting it stop me. Still life in this old girl yet.
Speedy - would your GP refer you to a dietician? They could help with eating plans not just for your weight but hopefully to help with management of your arthritis symptoms. I don't know much about that area of witchery but I believe there are dietary changes than can help with arthritic pain. It might be worth asking your doc.
Hi Limper. Yesterdays post should have said 'wakens me' no weakens me. Silly typo.
No doctor never suggested dietician. Just told me to lose weight. Weigh in tomorrow again at fat club but its coming off so very slowly despite all the walking. A friend on facebook told me she cut out all sugar from her diet which helped. I think I would struggle with that.
Good luck in London Tiptoes. Will be glued to telly tomorrow morning.
5 mile walked Wed, 6 mile walked Thurs and 11.5 miles walked today and my daughter joined me. Don't think she has done that distance since she was 19 and ran London with me. She did really well.
More lbs off so I am a happy bunny. 8 weeks till Moonwalk then I shall turn my walking into plodding. If I can walk 26 miles surely I can plod again.

Nothing Special this side of the border. 15 mile plod on Sat, cycled 32 miles in prep for my Duathlon this weekend.
Hi Speedy. Well done for all your walking, that's some good mileage.
Wow Tippy. You have been active!
I did a long plod on Sunday. The weather has been lovely here and I even got a tan line! That just shows how long I took to do my run!!
Shall we all shake Eagle's tree and see if he falls out of his nest?
Thank you limper. Good on doing a long run. Where was the good weather as it wasn't in the Borders ????
Well done Tiptoes on all your exercise.
Yes lets shake the Eagle's tree. Has he flown to sunnier climes?
The Eagle landed at training yesterday (nearly fainted i did)
He was looking after one of out elite athletes

Long taper for me before London.
Nope, did 32 mile cycle yesterday meeting Eagle tonight for a plod.
Hi Folks!
I hope that the lovely Limper & Speedy are hunky dorey, ship shape and 'bristol' fashion. I know how that Tiptoes is - windy as usual.
Long time no post. Life has been, well...... but the Eagle will be back before too long.
Hi boys. Nice to see you RE. Well done on the cycle Tiptoes but you said you were tapering for London.
Limped I hope you are ok.

I think cutting dairy can help in some cases. You really ought to speak to a dietician about it though. Ask for a referral.
Afternoon all.
The sun is shining, the birds are tweeting ( how do they do that with no fingers)
Good luck in London Tipster. Hope you've packed a sun hat?!
