Yet another theory

The FLM is a mass participation event. So it's in the organizers' interests to select all the crocks and grizzled old farts for the race. If even this bunch of wrecks can run a marathon, the argument goes, then so can you!

The presence of the young, good-looking and photogenic, like me, would undermine the mass participation appeal. Prospective marathoners would be intimidated by my lean, bronzed, finely-honed torso.

I know I'm right.

Im no phot fit but i have to admit I still haven't decided whether to keep my finish phot and photo shop the prat behind me or simply forget completing my first FLM.
Lesson for Final Photo
Before selecting which gate to run through at the finish line check those around you and where they are heading as they will be in your photo.

They always send me the wrong photo anyway. It's always of some old bloke.

I'm fat, ugly and, by the time the FLM2003 takes place, I'll be 2 days the wrong side of 40 and I'm in so you may well be right with this theory Muttley.
