The Beachy Head Marathon is in Sussex. I have run it and Snowdonia (not same year) so now will do Dublin. Loads of the 100 Marathon Club lads do all 3 most years unless one of the races changes its date.
After running Snowdonia I went over on the ferry with the lads to watch Dublin and had a holiday in the West of Ireland.
OB Yes, the year I went, we left Snowdonia in the afternoon (me and 4 blokes!) drove up to Holyhead, had a meal then parked up until the night ferry was due. Got very little sleep in the car as you can imagine.Rory Coleman driving and Big Dave Carter in the front. Only one (Brian 'tatoo man' Mills) wanted a cabin so we shared one! The others grabbed a little kip on deck then they all ran the Marathon in the morning. I suppose these days I could do it but that was in 1998 before I started doing 24 hour races.
Hadyn - holidays shouldn't stop you lurking. I didn't like to say owt, but when I was in Cyprus in May, I stumbled upon an internet caff and decided to see what you were all up to on here. Didn't make my presence known in case you all thought I was saaaaad with nothing better to do!!
runners live on an entirely different plane of SAD to non runners ... despite this Mrs TC came out for a couple of runs at the WE, mainly to get away from the Chafelets rather than dubious quality time with moi.
OB - I don't believe there is such a thing as a spouse who runs. If there is, then they're in a minority. Mr WP is currently training like a good'un for his next burger-and-pint-a-thon. No sign of tapering yet...
Fellrunner - I'd happily support my other half if he ever ran. He's a trusty bag-holder though, so I'll support him in that dept.

I gather from those who've done the 3 in 3 that the hardest part is getting the travel logistics sorted!

Mrs Biastai has started running again, which is pretty cool. She is going to start training for 10k distance. Well done wife :-)
emma - what do you think about these runners who have spouses who actually run as opposed to being critical of running?
