Hello All, especially to the familiar faces here )
If you do running this one and you see a young lady wearing the number 40, please say Happy Birthday to her. Her name is Jane and the number happily coincides with a very special age!!
Hello everyone im no 40 HELP made the mistake of telling people it was my birthday on the day of the run and my age hope you will all come to the pub for a quick drink afterwards i will be last in the pub due to the snail pace
Hi JaneE2, hope you didn't mind me embellishing your race number! It's a great age to be and hopefully your day will improve after you've finished the race! Does Guy really think the race no. is a coincidence?!
Josie, still plenty of space but we're well up on recent years so there is a chance we'll be near to capacity. Best not to leave it to the day, I think.
Tiger - you don't look 41, can't believe your lad didn't come whizzing past me at end of the Perch - he was cruising, so i guess he did the galant thing and stayed with mum!
He did outsprint me at the very end :-) I just couldn't keep sprinting up that last bit! I daresay he'll be up for one or two of the Tour of Epsom races and the Claygate 5 in the summer.
doylie I think 40 southern comforts will kill me however if the day time ones are counted with evening i may manage it Neil will be carrying me home im sure Are we going by train as i was thinking of driving everyone in the Tank (has 7 seats)

Which reminds me, as my long run's been scheduled for a weekday that week I can do this! Time to enter :-)
PS. Womble, if you're out there - is there any chance my 14 year old can do this? (He's an Oddball so unfortunately can't boost the Allsorts numbers)
Sweet ladies are slightly ahead at the moment (I have it on good authority). Foot print perils just behind :-(
Course should be slightly faster now too following road and pavement improvements.
Are you anywhere near the limit yet ? I haven't entered yet and a couple of my friends are interested too.

Mob trophy is looking a little safer ;o)
Back to worrying now......
Should be having a lie in not running 10k
Don't worry, it's just a number......a big one i know, but....you can see if you can drink your age in Southern Comforts by the end of the day.
If SuzieBee does this instead of the Wokingham Half then she may join in with the red wine as usual
Stragglers for the Mob Match
Doylie
Wouldn't it be polite to let 26.2 to win the mob match on their own patch - especially after the stragglers whopped them in december?
And it's a good race, no complaints there
OK We could have a 'boat' race in the pub afterwards
5 representatives from the running clubs present and medals for good for your age, first lady etc
Womble whaddya reckon...all dive down the North Star or similar after the running bit and start talking up our marathon chances over a pint
