Hi AA. The draw is tomorrow but we don't know what time it will be. NY is 5 hours behind us so if they make it at noon, we might get an email in the evening. Best of luck to Mr AA.
Sorry AA, I've only had knockbacks for the last two years, and for the life of me I can't remember procedure. I would have thought in this day and age that we will all find out late Tuesday/early Wednesday.
Good luck all, lets hope the notification procedure is swift and painless for all. Less than 6 months to go, where does the time go? Hope to see as many as possible of you on the start line. Fingers crossed!! (Now you understand not on the start line obviously!)
It said in the email newsletter that the results will be posted today! So we should hopefully know more before close of business today here in the UK... (Getting genuinely excited!)
Give the poor guys a chance, it's a bit early for them yet :-)
5 hours behind sooo.... in at 9 am (2pm our time) have a coffee and fire up their computers 10 am (3pm our time) check their forum 11 am (4pm our time) Have lunch 12pm (5pm our time) get back from lunch and do the draw 2pm (7pm our time) trawl through Outlook and send correct emails to correct people 4pm (9pm our time) Go home :-)
Bah! The people either side of me on the ING Entrant Database have 'accepted' next to their names - such a thing can trick a person who reads the list too quickly!
Would like to think that there is some sort of glamorous Blue Peteresque totaliser for the draw, but probably just involves a rather uncerimonious quick press of a keyboard - hope that press proves lucky everyone!
Come on. It's gone 11am in New York - plenty of time to have got into work, made a cup of coffee, read the paper, caught up on emails and then pressed the magic marathon lottery button thing and let us all know if we have a place....
sorry if I've missed the answer to this guys, but can I take it that if it just says 'lottery' next to your name, that doesn't mean you're in, it just means they have a record of your entry?
I think so Jerry - that's been against my name since it went on the database a few weeks ago.
I'd hoped that the results would come through before I left work this evening but it doesn't seem likely and I'm not in the office til after lunch tomorrow.
Off to the gym now so, with no t'internet there or at home, I guess no news is good news until tomorrow (although whoever said that certainly wasn't in the ING New York Marathon lottery draw!)
just checked the entrant database and noticed some people already have accepted against their names. Does this mean the draw has already been completed, or are they guaranteed places etc ?

Best of luck to Mr AA.
Do they just update everyone as and when they know or is it as soon as the draw is made its all done at the same time?
Questions questions... but I've got to book my flight and am not sure if its for one or two people!!!!
I got in on my first go last year so I don't really expect to get in this year.
Hope to see as many as possible of you on the start line. Fingers crossed!! (Now you understand not on the start line obviously!)
Hope everybody makes it on to Fort Wadsworth!

(just need to know how excited I should be - I don't want to burn out before I actually find out!)
I'd assume you're not going to find out til tomorrow then if you do get the email today you'll be pleasently surprised :-)
Come on you lazy American peeps, time to get up and do the draw!
Redhead drums fingers impatiently....................

Do the draw in October but don't let anyone know til blooming December!!!!!!!
