I'm finaly back at work, but still no training for at least 7 weeks!!! Driving me nuts, especialy hard when I take my son to the track and my running buddies go off for a nice 10-15 miles.
Having sat on my backside for almost 3weeks the weight has piled on nicely. Got a few curves for a change.
Can empathise with you to a certain degree MissP - I haven't been able to run properly since TG either and had to miss club champs 1/2 mara which totally peed me off but it was my own fault. My physio told me not to do the mad crazy race and I went against his advice (as he had actually predicted I would!) and as a result my recovery time has definitely been prolonged. I've run a total of 11 miles this whole month so far - whoop tee do!!
Also got a bit over enthusiastic with the swimming as I couldn't run and coach has told me to lay off because I've hurt my arm as a result.
(I'm falling apart!!)
So big hugs and wishing you the speediest of recoveries!
Was very alarmed to see that you were thinking of jacking it all in, glad to see that you're in a less negative frame of mind, you've obviously got a lot of fight in you or you wouldn't have made it round the TG course!
