Wow just checked weather on BBC it's gone from heavy rain to a full sun!! Hope its not too warm but quite pleased if tehre's no rain. Can pretend I'm out for a leisurely stroll or picnic then
Secretly I'm hoping to finish in around 5hrs 45 cos that's the time that 2 of my friends took to finish their 1st marathons. Should hopefully be do-able if I have a good day! Don't fancy rain, but then again I don't fancy too much sunny either. Fingers crossed for perfect running weather!
Evenin all, Sorry ive not been able to chat but i work in the evenings, life as a top flight chef is hard you know. Anyway, good to see team 5 are all cool, calm and collected. Please may i add my name to the list.
Danno, 51138 Children with Leukaemia vest,Dave on the front. 5'6" bright red hair, eta 17 miles 12.24 ish, finish iro 1.50 thats if all goes to plan.
In work at 9:30, straight onto the Team 5 forum to catch up with everything, a quick look on the bbc website to see what they are saying in their athletics section, it's now 10:00, I really don't think I am going to be doing much work today!
I've just been working out my splits etc (using slowest time I can think of!)...assuming it takes 20 mins to get over the start line, I should be at mile 17 around about 1.30 - 1.45pm. I know it's mighty slow and if you don't all have time to wait around for me that's ok! Just to let you know!
Afternoon peeps - I have annoyingly been out of the office this am and have quite a lot to do this afternoon but at least it took my mind of the marathon for a couple of hours.
Mind is fully focussed again on this forum (where it should be). Any other forumites in pen 8 planning 10:30's?
aiki, I like your way of thinking! I was trying to convince my friend the other day that finishing the race under 4 hours would mean that I couldn't take the time to enjoy all that was going on around me!

Hey Big Ange - someone's gotta be last, making it round's an achievement. As long as we all get round and have a good day that's the main thing.
I aim to pass at least 2 people on the course in a n impressive style...
Fingers crossed too!
Good night and stay happy everyone

Quick boing and wibble!!
Sproog, Diana D and I are going to try to meet at the get you round pacers so see you there?
I'll be in a yellow Headway vest with Louise on the front and Chase UK Corporation on the back if that helps?
keep calm.
That's my ETA at mile 17 too! Slow but steady.
That sounds like a great plan.
I will be in an orange Lifeboats Vest with Jess on the front and Sproog on the back, and my number is 44736.
It's a huge relief to know that there will be friendy faces at the start and during the race. I'm not sure I would get round otherwise.
We can arrive at mile 17 together! Marvellous!
I'm SOOOOOOOOOOO excited!
Sproog, friendly faces are a MUST!
See you on the day!
Big Ange and Delia, may I join you? And it's not slow, it's differently fast )

It's a grand day out and it'd be a shame to rush it and miss everything ;o)
thanks sweetie. I'm trying not to look at 'em.
