I know that seems harsh, but our identity affects everything we do.

What im worried about with you is that you are in limbo, which means you cant grieve, or heal
Will, I'm not really angry, I just don't take excessive s*** from people. Well I do, but only in the cause of banter etc - not about important things. That's the real distinction I learned.

Now to ask a stupid question, is that the mask you wear when you have any form of contact with the wife?
Including when you are leaving answerphone messages and sending texts?
I suggest you continue being the guy that would currently attract your wife.
As I said earlier, you can't make anyone do anything be it love you or tell you how they are feeling.
The following might help:
People do things for a positive reason. This may not be your positive reason or the way you would phrase this particular positive reason but it is their positive reason and that is why they are doing it.
Reason being can you think of anybody doing something for themselves because of a negative reason?
You will have to wait till your wife wants to tell you her positive reasons.
