Great run thanks BE1. It's hillier than I remember!! Not too sure i'm lookn forward to the full half. Don't think i'll be doing quite the same pace as last year but its just nice to be runnign again.
Went to stride UK today in Hove for a proper bit of gait analysis with my pod. All very interesting stuff
Glad you all had nice runs . This is where i tried my new Birthday pressie out ( a new long sleeve running top ) Needed it in this weather too .Not sure that it was -6 on Sat but pretty cold.
Brrr ! its cold again out there and very quiet on here . Hope you are all getting some nice long runs in . Thanks for Friday HHS . Took a while to recover but feel I can cope with some further distances now : )
The 4 hour drive from here to Lewes yesterday was.......................interesting! (!). When I told T's Dad that, he asked why I didn't take the car! (Ha,blo*dy ha!)
Still no sign of running, but now my team is up to full strength that's due to change. At least getting out more than once a week for 20 mins is something I'm definitely looking forward to!
PS - For sale - Garmin 405 (only worn twice. A bit of technology too far for me, I think!) £250 new. Will accept £120 ovno.
Hi Norm - nice to hear from you. How old Is your garmin. Is it the one that looks like a watch that you adjust by twistiing th eoutside of the face and does it download wirelessly?
Yeah, great run on Friday SS. I didnt run until today so had a few days R&R. Thought better of running on ice & killing myself
That's the one,HHS. I've got the lime green version. Bought it a few months ago, but keep getting put off by the fact it (appears!) too technical. I guess someone used to Garmins may not have the same issues.
Having said that, RW mag has some good instructions re use and set up etc. Quuestion is, do I persevere or sell?! Hmmmmmm........................
First outing with Tunbridge Wells Harriers after work last night. Very enjoyable evenng. Back next week.
Time to get on the scales..................................
RW - ummm. sell to me i think. Email me your mobile number.
I have had a 101 for years and have been very happy with it - simple speed/distance etc without the bells & whistles.. Have always toyed with getting a better model to download stuf & HRM etc. If you're going to sell it, il have it off you. Maybe I can part ex my 101....lol
Another run on Shoreham Beach this morning. Similar effort to 'clubnight' on Thursday. Feels good to be back on the road! Loads of weight to lose, and fitness to get back. 'Bookmarked' Barns Green Half as my main taget for the year, possibly doing a 10k series during the summer (Kent League runs permitting!)
Still undecided about Garmin, although a new running jacket or shoes would come in handy................07971 599 511
