Heel pain

Hi guys, can anybody help me with a pain in my right heel right at the base? Feels like I've been stabbed, then goes off fast and I can run ok. It doesn't hurt at all now I'm home, but I'm aware of it, if that makes sense. Just feels a bit hot, not swollen, red or anything worrying. Is this something I should get checked out? I have suffered from PF in the past, but in the other foot, and haven't had a problem with it for nearly 9 months (that foot's fine).
