Macc Half

Ive just entered the Macclesfield half in september. Anyone done it before, is it any good?

I want to enter as well but can't work out if you have to run for one of the charity's, is it compulsory ?

Not compulsory for charity DT , ran it 3 times before. Good race, reasonably flat but does have 2 interesting climbs, one after Prestbury up Hare hill and again at around 9-10 miles. Have done 1:55, 1:48 and 1:45 there in the past. SS Hope that helps .
