AMY, DON'T LISTEN TO TT, HE'S A NUTTER, JUST KEEP ON PLODDING AND THE TIMES WILL SOON SORT THERE SELF OUT....THAT TIMING PROBLEM IS ABOUT RIGHT ...IT MADE ME A MIN OFF AS WELL ....BUT I'D LISTEN TO YOUR WATCH, AS LONG AS YOU SET IT ON THE LINE AND STOP IN THE SAME PLACE THEN IT'S RIGHT.....EVEN US SLOWY'S DIDN'T TAKE 60 SECONDS TO DRAG THE OTHER FOOT ACROSS THE LINE....WELL DONE AMY FOR FINISHING ...
YOU CAME IN SOME WHERE BETWEEN ME AND THE WIFE....HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN TRAINING ...WAS IT A FIRST TIME FOR A 10K?
MY OTHER HALF SAY'S SHE MAY NOT BE GOOD AT RUNNING, BUT SHE'S A WHIZZ WITH SPREADSHEETS....
IF ANY OF YOU LESSER MORTALS WOULD LIKE A REVISED COPY OF ALL THE TIMES AND PLACINGS IN AN EASY TO READ LIST...PLEASE DROP ME AN EMAIL...AND I'LL SEND IT ON TO YOU.
AMY YOU'VE ACTUALLY CAME IN 530TH AND 95TH IN YOUR CAT.....IT LOOKS SO MUCH BETTER WHEN ITS PUT LIKE THIS....
Thanks for the support everyone And I see they have posted the chip to chip times along side the gun too chip times now. That is closer to what my watch said, so I feel better.
This was my 3rd attempt at a 10k. However, the 2nd attempt (2 weeks ago) was a complete disaster due to the extreme heat in London that weekend. I even had to stop and walk!
Anyway, my finish this weekend was 2 minutes faster than last October in York, so I am really happy! I have trained for about 5 weeks doing hills and sprints which seemed to pay off.
I reckon I will give it another go in the Fall and try to shave another 2 minutes off. And then maybe come back to Llanelli next year ready to break 60 minutes! Anything is possible.
This timing thing - There is something wrong, my official time was 46.59 was over 30 seconds out to my watch (line 2 line)and the same with the 2 guys i ran with.
Ye gads - its HIM! I don't know who he is (well actually I do, but I dont KNOW him personally!)...... I'll get to the point shall I?
I have seen him before running in shoes - I think it was the Scenic 7 a couple of years back. At the time I thiught he was just a random member of the public who happened upon the race and had a go..
...seems he has a habit of running in this manner!
Boff I am a member of 2 clubs. The WRN one I am the onrganiser of and Islwyn who I train with for extra mileage and pace (as they are all much faster than me!)
Morning all. I really enjoyed this race and it was nice to meet George & Poppy. I was pleased with my time and had a good choir rehearsal in Cwmafan in the afternoon.
Did anyone else almost run into the person that was walking just after the start. I think that if anyone intends to walk the course that they should start at the back of the field. At least they'd be safer there.
Boff From my point of view race order. I remember trying to catch the girl that had number 8 and the bald guy sprint finishing me and then alex coming in after me.
Nick P sorry did see you apolgise for not intodcuing myself. I seen a lot of run/walkers!
Hi Nick P. I saw you ! Was standing to your left when you were talking to George & Poppy. I think I made a suggetion about where to find showers (Llanelli Baths).

Don't worry about it. You got round 6 did't and that is a high DNF ratio.
Always next time.

And thanks for the spin - I am going to tell everyone I came in 95th in my category. That sounds impressive!

It must have been gun to chip..
Well done to everyone who did the event..
They have chip times up there now too.
I also think my tan is looking a bit like georges on the arms.

- I guess it works well for him - power to him
I just wondered if he was a random member of the public! Cos I can't remember passing him..........
Fair play senic7 in shoes, hard core.
Morning rio.
Should of turned up last night! WILL be there tomorrow.
Hey, I can't belive that bloke beat me ! No specialised race kit and a half tidy performance. I did see him at the start as it goes.
Of my two pics the first one is a bit of a grimace, then I saw the camera and thought I'd better make like I was enjoying it.
TT, you probably didn't..... I have a suspicion but it is unfair to post it on a public forum...
