Keeping up with the various threads on the forum. Been a real learning curve that one:)
If you want a serious answer then it would have to be the running, my woosey legs have not responded well to taking that up again. In fact only having ran further than 10 miles 3 times since Xmas eve makes the marathon an interesting prospect:)
Other than that I'm pretty pleased considering I was a complete couch potato last August.
rabbit the biggest challenge is yet to come. how to get 3 teenagers, 3 grown ups, 2 bikes and 2 bike bags, plus numerous other bags down to gatwick airport!!
Well, I have run a few marathons and I CAN'T imagine HOW one manages to swim and Cycle beforehand! Great respect to you guys.
One day very soon I would lurrrrrv to attempt a Tri. Perhaps I will wait and see the outcome of IM and decide therafter. Deffo need a year to train properly (at least)
Jelly Babe, can't you stick the two bikes together with some selotape and the five of you can climb on! )
Count, tis hard enough Marathon training and keeping a relationship going, so tri training must be a nightmare. Get your girlie friend interested in training too! You can run orf hand in hand and train at the same time! ;o)
ironwolf - that's the conclusion i've come to. Think i'll have to get my girlfriend a touring bike so she can come along with me. At least then she'll ahve the option of coming along or saying not today. brilliant - peace at £500!
Agree with TC...even though Mrs RB likes to run the rest of the training takes you away from each other and it's difficult to find the time to be together...you need a VERY understanding and supportive 'other half'....
The other challenge was not being able to swim more than two lengths of a 25m pool....
Not going to IMCH,that's a step too far for me. Am going on holiday with hubby instead. Won't even have PC access, so I may have to find an Internet cafe to check up on progress.
Nah, decided to try and make it... Wasn't going to go if Ella couldn't make it (went to see U2 without her already) so we're going for a mad dash might miss the first couple of acts. You still getting a ticket?

Morning IW, long time not see! Are you well?
Are you doing IM - Zurich?

Looking forward to hearing all the reports.
Is there online coverage somewhere??
its usually pretty slow though. some of the supporters might put regular updates on this thread on race day.
But I'm planning on doing another IM next summer.
pffft.
Hardly ever use it.
emergencies only.
no, really.
(TC - your work address just bounced an email. Doesn't it like my emoticons?)

My most memorable training moment was beating Andrew Smith & Candy up Box Hill... )
