Yeah - the carbon bits are nice, although they aren't the ones originally ordered, which were the Colombus 'Muscle', but these look far sexier and I think is a better design as it only has a single portal into the bottom bracket instead of the normal two.
My new stead weighs in at nearly 5lbs less than my old road bike, the difference is staggering. Although I've only ridden it a short distance, it's not exactly faster (unless you get out of the sadlle then the stiffness is very apparent), but it's far easier to keep a big gear going.
Anyone who says the bike doesn't make a difference is mad!
<It's not really mine - I just googled for an image of a ultra hi tech TT bike. Just to psyche everyone out. Not that it matters anyway as the only time they'll see it is when they pass it on the way out of T1 !>
did you see the Science of Lance programme on Discovery last night?? bike porn heaven..........
interesting fact - his tyre guy ages the tubs in his cellar - he reckons they get better with age as they soften up........Lance's 2005 TdF tyres will be over 3 years old ............
