I dunno - he was a bit of a tool to start with, but some of his posts can be funny. And compared to some of the sh!te going up, he's not all that bad.

There wasnt much wrong with Ro.

He actually started one of my favourite threads for a long time: the one about the joys of running fast. Dont know if they were all his own words but they were oddly inspirational. Much more interesting, as 2 Trenches says, than most of the crap on General these days.

Wellllll, I disagree Chimp.

I started off thinking he was a troll. In fact, I had a slanging match with him on a thread which we continued via email. Though he pretended nonchalance, he wanted to persuade me his trolling days were through (and he did admit to having trolled previously.) I agreed to give him the benefit of the doubt and that I would stop slagging him off. Then he went away again for a few weeks.

He returned a few days ago and I watched him post, almost randomly, on a handful of threads. Each of his postings was contentious, and not in a good way. Sure, it's OK to disagree on a public forum, but he was just looking to start a fight wherever he went.

He IS a troll. A clever troll, but a troll nonetheless.

We've always had complaints about ro, but the ones of the last couple of weeks made me think it was time for him to leave.

I appreciate that some forumites think we should only get involved when there's obscenity on the forum, but I think we have a broader duty to our members and to the integrity of the community here.
