erm, not very impressive time kett, my Garmin said it was 6.46 miles, which is longer than 10k, but that was probably all the dodging in and out of people, but managed a 1.02, so quite pleased
found the pace really comfortable as well which bodes well for future less crowded races hopefully.
3 miles in a lunchbreak is pretty good, I always find running lunchtimes hard work
First saw Floyd live when Syd Barratt was with them (!) and saw them many times thereafter. As a long time fan I, although I was looking forward to last night I am ashamed to admit that I was also dreading that they might be a disappointment.

All their other stuff.

Delicate Sound of Thunder is a great live album with a bit of everything.
Yes indeed, don't listen to it if you are close to the edge or need to perform well in anything btw.

How many runners started?
20000 I think
not sure though
loads and loads and loads anyway
<falls off chair>
biggest I've done was 1000 starters and
that was bad enough!!!!
no wonder you did an extra 1/4 mile!
<blush>
JOKE!!
:-))
Really annoyed actually. Love Pink Floyd. I even liked Division Bell (well, bits of it) and there arent many as can say that.
I loved Meddle but in truth it sounds a bit dated now whereas Dark Side of the Moon always sounds fresh to me.
Hopefully BBC3 will repeat it over the course of this week (highlights @ 8pm each night)
DSotM & Meddle are high on the priority list. Thanks )

Dave Gilmours solo albums are worth a listen too. Think Wish you were here is my favourite tho with meddle a close 2nd.
