knee pain - only when I crouch

I have started to get pain on the outside of my right knee but only if I crouch down onto my heels. You may say well don't do that but any suggestions firstly for what it is and secondly what I can do about it would be appreciated.

Tigh quads?? Lie on your front, bend your knee, does your foot reach near to your bum? if not stretch your quads more.

ITB, lie on side of bed on your side facing inwards, with your top leg stretch it behind you and off the bed keeping it straight.

Hope that makes sense??

Thanks for that - it's not the quads but will try the other stretch.
