I have the secret code. I had thought that I wouldn't do it again, but since I have run at Bath three times and always had a pb, it's definitely tempting.. and it's local(ish). okay, okay, I've convinced myself. see you there. )
Do I do it, or do I leave the place free for some other lemming, hoping for a scenic tour of a World Heritage City, but getting two loops of an industrial estate... Ahh sod it, if I do it, I get a sunday lunch round at my mum's, so I'll be there.
I shall be entering. Had a poor run in 2004 (tweaked a hamstring at start of first lap) - did better in 2005 but a long way off my best. Hope to go better next year.
mmmm.... I twanged my knee after 1.5 miles this year so I would quite like to complete the event this year - I wonder how it will be with another 2000 competitors streaming out of the Rec ? The Kenyans may have even finished before the back markers have started :-)
oh dear decissions decissions. We have moved the Bristol Beer Festival to avoid clashing with the 6 nations rugby and now it clashes with the Bath Half.....
No but I am normally working there from Tuesday (setting up) til Sunday (taking down) and usually on my feet for 14hrs on Friday and Saturday - hardly good preparation for a half marathon!
Hi - we've had a few reporting problems with passwords. In the main the cause has been mis-typing. Try again copying & pasting the password direct from your notification email onto the form. Otherwise make sure you don't confuse 'O' capital letter with the number 'zero- 0' or '1' number 'one' with the captital letter 'I'.
If that still doesn't work email the racesecretary@runninghigh.co.uk with your full name, postal address and date of birth and we will email you a special postal form at the discounted price.
My first attempt nearly went through, using the copy and paste technique, but the payment system crashed on me. I think that it was just the sheer weight of traffic.
However I did succeed later in the day, and have received a confirmation of payment email from Netbanx.
Does this mean I'm in? Or merely into the next stage of the draw?
If you have received a confirmation email from our payment provider Netbanx you are in. You will shortly receive a further confirmation email from us (Running High) and your name plus race number will be posted on the successful applicants list on the event website.
However there are rare circumstances where entries will subsequently be cancelled - ie duplicate entries, payment declined, misuse of priority passwords, previous misuse of race numbers or failure to meet fundraising requirements (charity & challenge runners only). If you don't fall into one of these brackets you will be fine
The site accepts my password etc. Every time I try to fill out the friggin' form and submit, it takes me back to the Surname and Password screen - after 3 trips around this loop - I've given up.
I still can't get my password accepted - I've tried entering on various PCs (just in case, as suggested on the web site, its a IE or firewall problem) but still with no success. I've also e-mailed the organisers several times. Am also irritated by the suggestion this is a user problem (incorrectly typing characters etc - I've tried every possibility !)
So fed up, I'm about to give up - and go for the Forest of Dean Half which is on the same day
I've done Bath twice and have always enjoyed - I've also been supportive on the RW web site, inspite of previous niggles with the race (eg in 2004 when the chips did'nt work !).
Our apologies for those of you experiencing problems with our website. To date the site has handled 3,000 successful applications over the last 10 days, so the system appears in the main to be working well, but I appreciate the frustration for those few who have had problems.
Our IT team have identified a couple of niggles with password recognition and security settings, which we have posted 'fixes' for on the website. And if these don't work if you email the racesecretary@runninghigh.co.uk with your full name, postal address and date of birth and we will email you a special postal form at the discounted price of £25, guaranteed at the date of notification to us.
To date all email requests for assistance have been responded to within 1 working day.
Problems progressing from the entries page onto the payment page are probably due to high security settings or firewalls on your own computer, or workplace server blocking our cookies. Please try again after temporarily lowering your security settings, or using a stand-alone (ie non-networked) computer with reduced settings. Problems are also being experienced with latest Internet Explorer and some Norton Ant-Virus software.

Had a terrible time in 2003 recovering from injury and race conditions were awful. Was injured again last year. Was not going to do this again but....
A friend has just bought a house next to the start so I'm in.
