for me, no running for 2 weeks and then very light, I will start spinning light in a week and I will be swimming this friday.
Everyone will react in different ways, one thing to watch is the excessive food that may start to appear in front of you as you eat your way back to fitness and then struggle to get going again in 4-6 weeks or so.
The other thing that gets people is the need to get back too soon, get injured and then stop for a while and the while becomes 4 months, if you hold off for a while longer and then get back into it slowly it won't seem like you have been training for 2 years non stop and you might get the enthusiasm back earlier.
Rosey, maybe you could answer this. I've a voucher for a triathlon specific fitness test. I e-mailed them before IMDE and asked the best time to do it. They've given me an appointment on Monday but I'm kinda thinking this might be too soon for a guts out session. THen again they are the experts.
depends what the tests are for and how you are going to use it. If you want it to set your maximums for next season to help with HR ranges etc I would dodge it for a month or two. Your body is fecked even if you don't think it is and you won't be giving it a true picture, maybe what they are hoping is you have this one and then come back in October for another one before you start training for next year.
If its just generic stuff like fat levels, BMI and nothing with exertion then a week or two probably will be fine.
They tried to say I was too old and it would be lost in a fold of permanent ankle oedema in the next year or so. I told them I was an ironwifey and they got scared.
It's ok FS - I'm too busy training for any lovin' Anyway you're only about 12, so 40 is years away and your tattoo will fade. I'll be dead in 28 years so I don't care.
