Yesterday I managed to burn the second finger of my left hand (woodburner has completely flat grate across the front except for two small vertical prongs; I managed to dab my finger on one; not complaining as damage commensurate with nature of accident)
...but I'm a little worried about the fate of the ring finger on my left hand today; it's not looking good
I wish I'd seen this post earlier, I would have recommended closing the woodburner on the basis of health and safety and sending all the residents to another room.
That joke doesn't quite work. Oh well.
Today I have biked to the pool, swam, biked home again and shall be running later. I should take up triathlon.
I lost another 2lbs this week. I weighed 13st 5lbs once, that was quite chunky for an ickle mouse.
I have 4lbs to go to get to previous small mouse size, which was 2009/10 post Bala but pre Germany. By Germany I'd gained 14lbs back again. So if I can keep going, it will be very positive for IMing this year.
Coz I've never been this thin and this fit I've been lighter, but wasn't training to this degree; I've probably been fitter (though not specifically running fit) but at a heavier weight. So I have no idea where this takes me; hopefully somewhere good!
Good weight loss people. I lost 3lb overnight the other day, I suspect my scales are temperamental. I'm averaging 12st 2lb - I was 11.5st for IMCH. My whole problem is with my new job in a much smaller building I don't walk around any where near as much as I used to.
5 mile icy and muddy head torch run done tonight - it will seem strange to trust your footing when this all goes.
Crashie that's great news re size and fitness. It's interesting that you are heavier but thinner? How much do you need to lose to be lighter (thinner and fitter?)
I bet you look well fit.
Ant - we commonly weigh more at night than in the morning with the fluctation being as much as 2/3lbs.
I was in very good shape in maybe 2007-8 but was still 12st 4ish and carrying some lard. I'm probably not quite as fit now as I was then (although my specific running fitness is now higher, I'm not at all bike or swim fit) but I am 7lb lighter, so I'm running some excellent (by my own standards) times in training. I've also done a lot more miles, more consistently, than ever before.
I'd like to have shifted the love handles by the end of April (marafun day); I've no idea how much I'll weigh, but I estimate 11st- 11st 3. This gives me about another 7lb to go, maybe a little more.
I then need to maintain weight, but change body composition to add some swimming and cycling muscles...by September!
How much have you lost now? You look good on it, however much it is
I've lost 2st 3lbs BUT you have to bear in mind that since you've known me I've lost weight and gained it again. So I'm still 4lbs heavier than the lightest you've known me. However, a bit like you, I am thinner despite being heavier in real terms.
I had to buy new clothes in the January sales.
We really need to sort out a squirrel session. I did offer to help organise and then it slipped my mind again.
Mouse - I always check my weight at the same time when I get up.
Crashie - It's a combination of reduced calorie burn due to a smaller work environment and a changed lunch hour. It's at least an hour earlier than it used to be so I'm starving by early evening which means I grab what's ever to hand. My increased commute just means I get less time in bed in a morning and I only get home 10mins later than I used to.
Yeah, I suppose 10 min in the evening isn't too bad, you're just becoming a porker 12st 2 will definitely get you a place on Fat Families, Embarrassing Bodies or the like!
Mousers 31lb? Damn good effort! ANd fitter too now, by the sounds of it.
SSTC should definitely be a goer now that Spring is here (!)
All of 0.25lb off for me this week, but quite pleased that it was any reduction as I had a good one last week and I've just come out of easy week (the week after easy week always seems to be a slow one for weightloss for me; maybe it's because of all the rebuilt and strengthened muscle fibres (he said hopefully)?)
Comments
I only recently got a set of scales, I've been amazed how much my weight varies day to day and exactly how much I lose during a run.
More snow again down south, tomorrow moring could be interesting
Crashie - ouch! Hope you've stopped bleeding.

You is an affleet and a disappearing Mouse, innit. That's excellent and consistent work

Won't it just?
I'm in uncharted territory now; hoping for much better performances just because of improved power/weight and relative vO2 max...
Club run done. It seems 5mph is now consistently replaced by 6+ mph which is nice.

Well trained, BTW!

Amazing how the calorie burn adds up over a period of months (plus the loss of exercising time due to your longer commute)

Haven't on here for ages because I see most of you on the non-Welsh FB. Turns out I haven't been missing much recently!
