Surely if full-length tights are OK on men, then 3/4 and shorts are no worse, since they are all equally 'figure hugging'? If the problem is the amount of bare leg revealed, then normal shorts would be repulsive too?
Then again, I'm an engineer so have no idea about asthetics.
then there is the question of what to wear under the lycra tights, to VPL or not. Yes I am a man.
Commando works for lycra shorts, with normal shorts on top. As for tights, there are some wicking undies available but not sure if they do them in thongs.
Lycra is definitely best. Commando works for tights too, in my experience no one bothers even looking at you as you run past. Can often pick up a pair of tights for under £20 at the local Nike Factory Oulet store
If you're in London, why not just suffer a trip to NikeTown for some tights? After all, running kit seems to last, so paying a few quid more isn't too bad.
Well, I'm in london about 12 miles from Nike Town. I cycled there to pick up my Run London top & I enjoy the route. I was even more pleased that my bike was still outside when I returned.
Nike town is a bit expensive though - mail order or sweatshop is cheaper. Good if you want to see most of the nike range under one roof - shame they don't do everytjhing

Never had the confidence to try the lycra!

...too big so they have gone back on exchange.
They did seem very think though & the front seemed like wind proof material so I think they might be very hot.
Not expecting to recieve my exchange any time soon as I think start fitness must hand deliver all their mail & new castle to London is quite a way
also a few pairs of Nike leggings
not the most attractive thing to wear but
a. useful
b. I'm not the most attractive thing to look at anyway
