My daughter was a race organiser for Cancer Research UK Race for Life, and I have acted as the "Back marshall" for many of her events. I have had the opportunity to chat to some of the ladies who were at the rear of the field and without exception their determination to finish has been inspiring.
This is so good. I'm running Sheffield 10K in October and am aiming for somewhere between 1.30 and 1.45 - I am really worried about coming last - but don't feel quite so bad now.
