You too been causing trouble? - I would dig the thread and read back, but then life is just too short )
Commandeering is good;) at least it keeps the thread near teh top of the listing - making it easy to find for anyone interested in chocolate eggs )
.....so what after the bunny? are we set for a Salisbury thread take over??
Now I'm back from conference, its high time I put some miles in and worked off some of these invested carbohydrates!!! - don't think beer counts as carb loading!?
DB9 and Rio, sorry if I said anything untoward yesterday. The forum's for chatting isn't it? As Boffin said its good to keep a thread alive.
I have put my sensible head on today and decided that a 10k so soon after the Hogweed Hilly Half and Bournemouth Bay Half would be silly. Just planning my training for the next four weeks before I do 3 10ks in consecutive weeks. So I definitely wont be coming to Yeovilton. But its a definite for next year.
Managed 8th place at the "Trowbridge 10K" multi-terrain race today, disappointed by the time (41:57) but given the nature of the course and the conditions I should break 40 on the much more civilised roads around Yeovilton.
I understand your dilemma but surely there are other halfs in the time you are looking for. There is only one London Duathlon this year!!! At least you are guaranteed a pb even if everything goes wrong!
Well it sounds very intereting, but I have to admit to being a tadge confused... the website on the one hand says entries are now open and won't close until August - then on the other hand it also says entries are closed...?
...but even when you follow those links, right up to entering details, on the left it is still saying entries closed? - However, a waiting list is open??
But then, as you point out, there are more than one event hosted on this site.... the list indicates some are on waiting lists whilst others (including the duathlon) are open..... then again none are listed as closed.. so go figure that one!

Mentioned the Salisbury 10 and just got a laugh!!! So am sorted there too! lol
Bit cold here, freezing on the tready early this morning. V well pleased..fingers crossed for tomorrow.
CDP - running associate has started the thread on the Salisbury 10M...entered a post to get things moving.
Let me know what you think of the Brizzl.
;-)
Looks like we have commandeered this one though!:o)
I'll ping you the hotel details on Monday.
I looked at what Oatcake said about going back 10pages...I did that and still found you and I chatting away!!!
All Fun!;-)
I get no grief about chatting to who I like. OH knows me well enough. You can email me if you fancy a chat (off forum!)
I also checked back and was surprised too. It funny how easily the pages get covered!
Thanks in advance for the hotel details
xx
Be in touch 2mo

You coming to the Salisbury 10M too? Great race, course, day out, organisation and fabulous medal of the event.
Out in 22 and back in 20
and Chelsea won too!!!
Rio...still thinking......

Oatcake - no offence taken...you know yourself I chat up all the ladies!
Hope to see you at Yeovilton next year.
DB what did you decide - the sensible duathlon challenge I hope!!!!
Wintry that sounds like a very good time to me! hope it doesnt snow next week though!!!!
No major problems for me after yesterdays efforts so will trot out this evening for 30mins and press ahead with a speedier session tomorrow.
Rio - didn't arrive at a firm decision about the duathlon. I'm on the edge so just need tipping over!
Need to dig out the details of the hotel and send on.
Went over that edge ages ago!!!
I think if you dont go for the duathlon you will regret it DB!! Especially if you dont get 1.30 in Bristol!!!!!
Take a look at the The Sparkford Inn. Good food, nice location etc. But again, if it's just the one night!!
I know you're right about Bristol. So much can go wrong. Last year I was held up for ages and got tripped at the start by nurses pushing a bed.
I've been quite vocal about the poor organisation at the start allowing the charity runners starting at the front.
That's why I thought Cardiff would be a good insurance policy! But that too went wrong.
At least you are guaranteed a pb even if everything goes wrong!
Put your name on the waiting list then and see what happens
