Hiya, just a thought, train tracks are brilliant, keep (me) you busy for hours. The only problem if you haven't got any children how would you justify the need of it?
NO, NO running you don't want to spoil your recovery!
Father Christmas brought to my son a train tracks and it's brilliant spend all my time playing on it for hours (with my son obviously). Every day you can build it in different way, put more or less bridges etc... So I thought if you get one for yourself that will be something else to do instead of running. Just a thought really!
I think your doc is right... anyway I don't think I could bring enough tissues with me for a run! and now there were 2. 2 runners not running. Thank you forum to be here for us!
I know I had put this to bed but I thought you would all like to know I am going for a run on Sunday. I still have an ache in the location of the injury but am ready to resume.

I can think of several ways but perhaps this is the wrong "forum"
Driving is proving a bit of a pain, mainly when turning left. Other than that feeling a lot better.
Now, how not to run?
My chest feels as though I have knocked against something and bruised it, mustn't get tempted into running etc yet though.

Feeling very fit now, though getting fat! Definitely going on the bike on Sunday in preparation for cycling to work on Monday.
Perhaps I will avoid the three lane dual carriageway this time. (and busses)

Day 16, definitely a lot better, almost full mobility though stretching up with my right arm is still a but awkward.
Weight increasing nicely, clothes starting to get tight! Must get bike out on Sunday and look for a bus.

Able to get into and out of the bath without going into contortions. Coughing is possible (try not coughing for two weeks)
Now it feels as though there is a band across the right side of my chest which presses when I breath deeply.
The Doc said no running until it is comfortable to breathe.
