On a rather more prosaic topic, I thought I would remind everyone that it looks like 26th March 2006 is the start of British Summer Time. Make sure you change your alarm clocks!
A good proportion of the course is flat, with a big hill at the start (but as it's an out and back you get the benefit of the big downhill at the end).
Well you do go up through the sandhills at the beginning but they never seem to bad when in the first 2 miles. Climb a little after that as well up the road but it's all downhill at the end. Well the last mile is flat back to the school.
Looks like they have kept the finish as last year rather than finishing on the brand new track. Probably a combination of not wanting to let all those dirty-shoed road runners on it and also there not being an easy way through the fence without running around to the front of the school !!!!
KatieB - take a cold shower woman !! Swoopy feeling about marshalls - honestly !!
16 days out - too early to predict what the weather will be.
Running MK half this weekend and the weather forecast has changed throughout the week from wet, 23mph wind and cold to snow, 12 mph and colder to sleet 12mph and mild (well 10C).
So any prediction for Sandy 10 is total guesswork at this stage.
So are you marshalling no. 8 ? Not your usual at the bottom of the sand-hills on the return ?
Also please note I do not require a hug from you, but if you can arrange for a nice young lady to oblige that would be most welcome :-)
I am marshalling, I will be at the entrance of the car park first off waving people in and then I am hoping to be at my "usual" spot where I was last year .... but Head Honcho Marshall hasn't confirmed this yet.
As for arranging a "nice young lady" Mmmmmmm not sure marshalling duties stretch to this?
15 sleeps ? now what sort of question is that ? and who was it directed at ??
No.8 - OK ,reserve me a good spot will you ? Actually the track is on the spot where the parking used to be isn't it ? You must be pretty restricted now ?
When you typed 'Arranging a nice young lady' it seemed so sordid !!
Brooks - The track is not where some of the parking used to be, but there is some new netball/tennis courts there now.
Don't worry about car parking spaces, it has all been sorted out and there will be plenty of spaces. I will also be showing everyone to car parking spaces with No.8
OK Damo with two forumites sorting the car parking, I'm sure it will be first-class. Well you know you won't hear the last of it on here if it isn't ! :-)

Not taking enough water on board has obviously led to dehydration and hallucinations - but it was never a fantasy !!!!

Hello kids, how are you feeling? I am getting a slight swoopy feeling in my tum when I think about this.
:-)
I'm ready for it but don't know if it will be as a race or a short long run. Is it a speedy course (sorry if question has been asked before)?

Ooooooh swoopy feelings <cue Grease music>

Seen the weather report? Hot and sunny, oooooh can't wait - where's me factor 10?
Hip hip hip hooray, the sun has got his hat on and he's coming out todaaaaay!
:-)
I'm looking forward to running in the sun, I just hope it's not too warm.
