one of the few benefits of being nearly last and going so slowly that the cameraman can walk along and talk to you. I thing the clincher was my comments about maxim being great. Always looks good for the sponsors ¦oD Had to laugh at the american guy who packed complaining it was too cold and hilly!!! what was he expecting??
Hi guys, I believe the ascent is accurate, did the 50miler 2 years ago and it's tough. The sandy stony tracks are a killer. I'm thinking about having another go this year if I can get the mileage in.
some of the climbs are short and steep, some are long and steep, some are fairly tricky to descend... just make sure you complain to Henk that it's too flat whenever you see him
might go and do the midnight 30 this year, possibly marshal for the first bit.
bleddy hell so it's basically full on hilly. Smiffy has alot to answer for. Obviously will need to get my pacing right from the start will be good to see you there tmw.

BOING!
who else is doing it this year? mememememememememe
Yep doing it again this year, some climbs are short and sharp with 1 or 2 longer not so steep, some sandy tracks and a nice run through the woods.
Feed stations every 5 miles and last year Smiffy every 10 with his own brand of humour
yeah but then they mayve measured it with a garmin
Did I ever tell you about the time i did a marathon on a 400m athletics track and the garmin said I'd done 1600ft of ascen?
You're never far from other people because the course is run in a confined space of a military training grounds.
very funny haile
GreenMachine: so long as I dont try and keep up with anyone Im sure it will be fine

hmm.....
how does this compare to Beachy in terms of ups and downs?
Three weeks to go!
I have a race strategy all sorted; it's tough, it's dangerous; it's 16 minutes a mile.
Hairy there is a profile on this page - it does look a bit up and down,i would say beachy has longer climbs, this has steeper climbs.
Cheers
Just trying to work out whether I can squeeze the Midnight 30 in between BH and Crawley
do you know what hairy, i was thinking myself that would be a good treble, and ideal for long ultras
crawley starts at 10, so if you can manage the 30 in under 8 hours then i reckon you're sorted, as long as you have someone to drive you
please tell me you're doing Dublin on Monday!
Unfortunately it would cost too much TMW (at least £200 extra)
Otherwise I'd be there like a shot
