That's great Pinkerbelle, but if it's your first time it'll be a PB whatever you do so just go to enjoy the experience and don't worry too much about time.
I'm sure you'll do well, but you don't want to be too hard on yourself on such a fab day.
I'll be aiming for something around 3.45, crowds permitting
Thanks that is good advice! are you guys all starting to taper now? i did my last long run of 20 miles on sunday (still feel tired today!)which i am very glad is over!!
Not sure about tapering, did 20 on Sunday at Oakley, and that was my last long run, doing Flitwick 10k this Sunday, which looking forward too, 6 mile runs with possibly one 8 miler next week
well done Pinkerbelle - sure you'll do fine on the day! Was hoping for 5 hours but not run for 3 weeks (can start again on Thursday says the physio) so just going to enjoy the day, atmosphere and aim to get round safely....
Hi - I've just e-mailed all the supporters and runners for whom I have an e-mail address.
So if you haven't received an e-mail from me then I don't have your address.
However, if you've found this thread then you probably don't need the e-mail anyway!!
I'll try to sort out a list of people whose addresses I don't have at the weekend.
I'm away from early Wednesday morning until Friday morning and if you mail me during that time I won't be able to respond. I'll reply as soon as I can at the weekend.
Sorry for only just getting to this thread - been a tad busy at work!
So, can you start a list with your race numbers and what you would like in the way of support please - be it jelly babies, deep freeze, big sloppy kiss or a kick up the @rse and we will try to assist :-D
Well done guys for all your hard training you've put in so far and good luck for the big day.
