We'll have a big '2 sign up which the lovely Rich is preparing, so hopefully you will all see us in good time.
Also, if you not aware, there is a forum gathering afterwards at The Thistle HOtel in Whitcomb Street which is to the left of The National Gallery at the top of Trafalgar Square. Hope some of you can make it back there afterwards.
Hi All - I like all the "life getting in the way" comments - it is just so me at present - I think my hubby is ready to divorce me and me nerves are shattered bacause of couple of runs I have missed. Between that and trying to make decision on mew job I think i will be offered!!! AHHHHH! I am going to stick some gels etc in post. For me the most impt thing will be to have someone there for me at 17 miles - from experience I know thats when I doubt my sanity and ability to finish.
My friend Helen wants to come to London to watch me and was very excited about the prospect of watching with others and helping out in some way. I hope this is OK. I have given her RichK's website address and she may be in touch with him. I have an email for her if either of you were able to email her in advance just to let her know what time you are arriving etc. She is willing to do anything needed. Our group only has 3 allocated supporters so hoped that you might want another pair of hands.
Vaseline Big bag of jelly babies High 5s (summerfruit flave, got about 10) Plasters Deep Heat Deep Freeze A a big huge dollop of motivation for anyone who is flagging by mile 18.
If you would like anything else specially, please email for my address so you can send it to me.
cheers Sezz...big thanks to you now as wont be able to say a word on the day. Have updated image with phot so can see what i look like - pinks - i'll be looking out for you! Just got my charity vest - Hope and Homes for Children - not sure if i'll be wearing it yet - untested but will have a run of about 5/6 miles on sat and see how we go - nice blue with white faces! Will try and find somewhere that sells the lettes to put Casper on the front as well... am getting scared now!
Might be a dumb question but: What is the best way to put letters on a charity vest? In all pictures I look at they seem to be proper letters as opposed to pen which was going to be my solution- any tips?
Spent this pm in search of iron on letters- with no luck, so if anyone does find them let us know- looks like I shall be using my pen. Ran round Richmond Park this morning to try out charity vest- lots of fellow marathoners doing exactly the same thing, lots of "see you next Sunday" - can't believe its nearly here.
What a lovely day (Sunday). I just had 75 min run (jog) as my final weekend outing and felt fine. At least I should manage the first 8 miles next week! The local paper (Ipswich Evening Star) did a half page feature on me/Macmillan last night, so must succeed now. Mudchute is going to be quite a milestone.
I hope you're not all doing more runs. There's nowt to be gained in this last week.
Btw, you don't want to be eating your Easter Eggs - too much fat. You should be eating carbs. Therefore, please send your Easter eggs my way coz I didn't get any :-(
I'm getting really quite excited about next Sunday now.
