Gumps, would you care to elaborate at all on what piece of tri kit that is meant to mean??! Or am i just particularly naive today?
- bento box (or whatever you call those things to put food on a bike)
- cycling top (the sort with big pockets to put food in) - size 10
- swimming goggles, 'cos i'm finding it hard to find ones that don't leak
- 'Look' pedals (to go with bike shoes generously donated by Candy - and yes, i have been warned to soak in Dettol first)
or any shoes & pedals set in size 9
- bottle cage (have one, need another)
- other tri kit that i haven't heard of yet but which will turn out to be essential & 'but everybody knows about that!' half-way round the course.
pref. cheap/postage/free 'cos i'm a student & i'm not doing this again (cycling is boooooring).
Really not useful - cycle computer 'cos i can't make it work.
tesco ones have been good for me as i have a peanut head.

Tri bars - how do you bang your knees on them when out of the saddle - very confused. That said, considering taking mine off as I've still not managed to get comfortable enought to use them and might as well save the weight so I can fit my 4th bottle cage.....
- first time out I had a problem with the straw cos I'd made teh numpty mistake of putting the soft tubing in the bottle and so the hard scratchy end kept hitting me in the face!
- second time out I went over a bump and the yellow padding flew out (along with half the drink) - so I've taped it in now...
- and in the race on Sunday the whole thing dropped out when I was zooming downhill - very glad I didn't then ride over it - so I'm going to change the way I attach it to the bracket now...
DuckGirl - I second the Tesco goggle recommendation - less than 3 quid and work just as badly as all the other goggle I've tried (except the SwimShop WIN ones which somehow seemed to fog up and fill with water while I was still on dry land!)
Jo - drats! Shiraz has just 2 weeks ago bought a shiny new one of those...
Bike Ponce was also bought "everything he needs to race" for christmas but I've stolen the best bits so that's not so bad.
washing machine is always on the go
6 bikes and a unicyle in t'garage along with skis, ski boots, mountainering heavy gear (ropes, crampons etc) - along with tools for a decent bike repair shop
sports kit in every available storage space - far more than normal kit........
rucsacs for every contingency from Flashflo to heavy duty high mountain climbing sacs
And I'm just about to put another load of washing on.
I need to check what size it is so will get back to you shortly......
Also tried and discarded Orca RAce shorts with a big fat white stripe down the side. It didn't occur to me until my first swim in them that it went completely seethrough.
I think stuff expands to fill the space so the bigger the house the more clutter.
He keeps muttering about dong the Ballbuster so might race again but he'll do that on his Pinnarello.
He also has a Colnargo (sp?) Master sitting around doing nothing if anyone is interested. I think it is a 56"
(I have plans to eventually have room to turbo in my garage!)

You after his Pinnarello Gumps? I'm afraid that is the only one he is keeping... unless you want his Salsa MTB which I have just brought home and added to the garage collection.
I also have 2 mouldy flashflows, half a profile tribar
But if you make me a good offer I might sell it whilst he is out ;-)
