Lunch soon - yippee! Should be here in 15 minutes, and if it doesn't come I've got a packet of M&S stuffed vine leaves, a mango, an endless supply of packets of instant couscous and instant noodles, and a handful of Quality Street.
The catering is on the stingy side so lunch is one pack of chicken fajita wraps and a Capri-Sun. Looks like the vine leaves, the mango and the chocs will be needed. Never mind - proper food for dinner after my run tonight. Fish and chips, I think.
When I've had fish and chips in West Yorkshire in the past (I am no longer welcome there) I've been asked if I want "bits" with them - said "yes" once, out of curiosity, and they put crumbs all over my fish supper. I'll bet they charged me for them, too.
My Dad lives in Wetherby West York, and when I visit we always go to the "Wetherby Whaler" for the best fish and chips I have ever tasted..........mmmmmmmm
crumbs indeed!! my Welsh friend didn't understand why i'd want the burnt bits of batter on my chips, but after a year of living there, the local chippy knew the importance! Agree on the burger bar thing-acky!

Isn't it a lot easier just to walk into Dixons and say "Gimme a computer, please, and hold the extended warranty"?
