The on-line entry is a bit awkward - the link to the entry form only works in the French version. You can then choose the English version of the entry form, though.

What's the course profile like? Flat? PB potential? Are entries still open?

Entries are still open although if you'd entered before 1st Sept you would have got in at a cheaper rate.
It's a superbly organised and supported event. Imagine FLM with a quarter the field & you've got La Rochelle marathon.
Ryan Air are selling flights Stansted to La Rochelle for 99p e/w at the moment - probably around £40 incl. taxes etc. for the round trip.
They did this 2 years ago and kept swapping the fligh details.

RB - entries are still open but I'd get a move on booking a hotel if I were you. Give me a shout if you need any help with that.
I have in mind a fab restaurant for the Saturday night if anyone's interested in a little get together. My mate Neil E Dunnin said it was great..... we couldn't get a table though..
Either Saturday or Monday night would be good!
Thanks for the info guys. But the way the flights from the grim frozen north will work means that its exceptionally unlikely. One for next year I'm 'fraid.

Alki, dins on Saturday would be good. Unfortunately I'll be returning home Monday afternoon. Still trying to remember the name of the flippin' restaurant though....
WHat is with the health certificate thingy on the entry form? Ive never had to do something like that before - assume i just goto the Drs and get them to say 'yes - he isnt going to die trying'.
Are you a member of a club? If so then the medical cert, is not necessary - just send proof of your membership with your app.
If you're not a member then I'm afraid it is a trip to the Dr.
The fact that a lot of them were signed for by Dr Green of ER went unnoticed
Mind you if in doubt, if you have a Dr Green handy to sign as fit, then I suppose that might save a lot of aggravation.
On that point though, I inquired of my GP re. medical certificates. His reply was words to the effect of "full medical, £150 please." As a result I liaised with the marathon organisers themselves (who have a representative who speaks good English), they affirmed that my club membership exempted me from needing a medical certificate.
If you dig around on the last Paris thread Dr Snoop posted a suggested doctor's letter text which people found helpful....

3:09 in the marathon. That's 10 mins slower than last year; mind you it was about 10 degrees hotter too!
