A colleague and I were discussing the music of today and I was saying how much I dislike that Lily Allen record, Smile. It's not so much the song itself, it's her diction which really gets on my nerves, dropping her t's and suchlike!! He was in agreement and we then went on a rant about everything the 'yoof' like and how much we dislike it.

We then realised we were saying all the things that were said to us many years ago!

I was going otu shopping with my Mother once a couple of years ago and she put on a pair of those 'ecco' shoes (with round toes and a thick strap across), I made her change them, refusing to be seen in public with her with them on!! I got the usual "when you get to 75 you will prefer them etc etc". I told her she had plenty of smart shoes that were comfortable too and get them off!! She did

She's hardly ugly! I kind of like her 50s style, beats the chavette/fake tan look that all the other pop types go for.

Can't say I like the song much though, bit dull.

Liked LDN a lot, Ska meets rap type tune, good lyrics, not as keen on the new one...definitely been overhyped, but will probably get the album one way or another

Keith Allen has always struck me as a bit of an oaf, so I guess it's bound to rub off a bit on his kid.
