I am having a brilliant week despite needing the car to be MOT'd and serviced......
Hubby had the go ahead for 5 weeks off next year and our savings policy had about £2000 more than we hoped......In may they had dropped from last years values but have taken a large leap since then....
I'd like to see that Dave but I'm worried 1) it will not be as good as the book and 2) the only flea pit showings are in the daytime, so can't go 'cos I'm at pesky work. What we need is a midnight showing...
It's good, different to the book, mixes in a little of Ransomes own real life as the back story to Capt Flint. i re-read all the books a million times and was still happy with the film.
I have been and woken up...so tired today....git a race tomorrow going over the gap road from Brecon to merthyr .....the same path where I nearly died with meldy 7 years ago...but in the opposite direction and in daylight this time....weather forecast of rain all day isn't looking good..
It was good to get in teh bath when I got home Hope.
10 mile recovery run this morning with a beginers group training for the Cardiff half.I'm enjoying going out with those just starting the running journey.....The pace is good for me at the moment as I am building up my mileage and hopefully speed and strength will return in time
Just went to visit the allotments on our estate, I confess to stealing two raspberries...there were lots of amazing things all just sat there, ready to be harvested, seems such a shame One day, when I am retired, I shall have an allotment there for the princely sum of £7 per year. Can't wait.
We've got a veggie patch. We grew french beans, runner beans, carrots, onions, peppers (they didn't go very well) and tomatoes. We've also got a chilli plant indoors. I really enjoy my little garden.
I have an absolute blind spot when it comes to gardening, which means in the not too distant future I will need to get the mechanical equivalent of a flamethrower out to stop the back garden doing a fair imitation of the day of the Triffids.
We've just cleared the back garden with a mini digger and bull dozer ! ( see my FB page ). I'm informed I'm spending the winter making raised beds and laying hardcore to put a shed on
It's funny, isn't it...but I always imagined you being a gardener at the least and most probably an allotment owner, FeFe. I try to garden but not very well, when I work less (hopefully next year!), then I will garden more. I sat in the garden all day today, reading, then went for a little swim in the sea which was amazingly warm. So lucky
I thought FeFe would be a gardener too! He bought us a voucher to a very lovely garden centre in Sussex as a wedding present, hence the assumption.
I used to be a gardener but I've been a bit distracted this year!
Finally did my first bit of cardio exercise for six months yesterday courtesy of a cross trainer donated by Ditchy's brother. I think running may be a while off yet due to ongoing pelvic issues though

oh yes please
I'll have just plain raspberries please. Or perhaps some strawberries with freshly milled black pepper.
I had blueberries instead.......

Hello wingers
I think it might be autumn and its dark so that means I can go to bed soon

We were actually talking about that path the other night - a running club pal is doing the race and I was telling him about it
We had a headwind and rain a!l the way...managed to finish but legs tired..warmer than the ultra ..but a river running down the path
Hello lovely friends, I've been catching up with the wing over a nice cuppa.
Seren I can't believe you raced in that rain yesterday. It was torrential!
It was good to get in teh bath when I got home Hope.

I covert the thought of an allotment but in reality I am struggling with a few pots on the terrace
I have a canal path half (easy for you to say) on Sunday and my last long bike on Saturday, I shall be lying down in a darkened room by monday
I luff raspberries !
I love them as well...
I have toddler toy cleaning to do this morning....as least I can have a matter whilst I do it

Afternoon all,

Having done the canal path half ...I can confirm the blackberries are well and truly ready
a pal of mine is non weight bearing following a hip (h)op, I may pick her some and take them round
