I might have to take the fifth for the moment, based on last weekends cycle ride I'm way off what might be considered an endurance athlete, but pirate spirit and all that...
Another lovely Saturday I went to a running race today but just waved off Smiffy, miss Smiffy and her boyfriend. Mini Smiffy and I put his off-road buggy to the test in Friston Forest while they ran. I'm rather chuffed with it as it was ??15 from a charity shop and conquered bigger hill than they "ran" up!
I went to the podiatrist this morning (I met him at parkrun and he told me to do a self referral to the little hospital in Bognor to go and see him)...he has given me a tonne of exercises and will get some orthotics done. He said his aim is to see me running a parkrun again soon. Hurrah!
I haven't missed running for a long time but I really am starting to, so I am hopeful.
Just sharing my excitement. I "ran" at parkrun on Saturday (very slow, 38:xx) and my foot has been pretty reasonable ever since. So that's good isn't it?
It's been blowing a bit down here, there's been a fair bit of windsurfing going on...not by me, might I add.
Seren, I'm bogged down in all the work work. I'll spend a bit of time tomorrow on my day off getting a bit straight with it all again.
Hope everyone is well and happy and all houses are still in good order after the storm.
Given it's going to be the end of this week, I think we can excuse your childish eagerness. The best of the season to you and yours as well Mr Symes and indeed to the rest of the wing.
Heh. Christmas, is it? I'm still dashing around like a fruit loop (today was a home booking from which I was called to a home birth, then a full antenatal clinic and I still managed to get the turkey on the way home)...I am now sat watching darts, drinking a bottle of M&S Kir Royale, eating festive pizza. It's rather nice, even if I am incredibly easily pleased
I hope you and yours all have a peaceful festive season. I shall be parkrunning, cooking and drinking...in that order.
Heh...I could've done with Kir for brekkie this week to be fair, Melds
I'm done for five days. I'm flippin' delighted I will have to do a tonne of work on the 27th/28th but at least I'll be at home and can do stuff and eat cheese. Mmmmm. Cheeeeeeeese.
Happy parkrunning, Seren. I'll only be doing 24th and 25th as I'm working NY weekend, never mind. Seeing as I've done 280 of 'em, I shan't worry too much.
parkrun 24th and 25th for me too, maybe 31st, we shall see as we've a fairly full-on day that day, drinks, horse racing at Warwick, cooking and then out to the local for the night. Much prefer that to the Christmas stuff. I'd happily work Christmas/Boxing Day and have two days off in the Summer.
We have spent the day restoring our dining room table, which wasn't part of the plan! It was inherited from a friend's dad and we decided to check how it extended last night and thank feck we did as I'm not sure how it was even in one piece in the unextended state!!
I'm currently planning the eating of the cheese mountain. Gonna start about 7:30...we shall see what weirdy dreams I will have...I could go a bit of Crimbo cake to have with my stilton.
Five days Deb? Blimey, you're a better woman than me.

FeFe - I heard you were better than Barlos. I know that's not saying much, but hopefully it's some consolation
Meldy - Barlos and I have it pencilled in our diary to come and support
I think we may need all the support we can get !
FeFe ... me neither at the moment. 33 nearly killed me last week
Has he finished yet?
A morning spent discussing curry recipes, Tom Petty & 50mm fixed macro lenses with the plastering team..
.... Who said they are Neanderthal inbreds over on the west coast ?

OK
Ended up in a dark place. ( and I don't mean Leeds teehee)
Tried to wish the wing Happy Christmas and we didn't exist.
Anyone want a mince pie? No? Thought not....
Swap you for some Christmas cake ?
Had been here, eating us out of house and home, for five days.
I hate mince pies, Christmas cake and Christmas pudding. Brandy butter is ok though ????
I've only ever done one parkrun and it was long enough ago that I held my age group record for a few months. Not sure I could actually run one now
