  • well, i've been 'featured' on Redwatch (BNP site where they put up pics of people they don't like - if you are going to look at it use an anonymiser), slogan 'Remember places, traitors' faces, they'll all pay for their crimes'.
They put up names, home addresses, photos, anything they can, and it's been linked to several attacks on 'lefties'.
The more info the Govt has on us, the easier it is for someone to look it up and publish it maliciously. & no, i don't think the govt would make the information 'publically' accessible deliberately - but the more people can access such a database for 'legitamate' reasons then the less secure it is.
And think about it - how much use is a fingerprint record anyway, on its own? if you know that a fingerprint in Birmingham at a crime scene matches one taken in Newcastle 20 years ago - useless, EXCEPT if you've tracked the person in the meantime - ID cards.
  • ooooh - i've been upgraded to 'leftist scum' since i last looked! what an honour! :¬)
  • Has anyone seen the news today about a great left wing socialist leader standing down and handing power to his younger brother?
A great leader who has out lasted 8 US presidents so far.
Never any finger printing of younguns in cuba-crime very low-a society where nobody wants for anything-a respect for each other to all live together. Is this the perfect society???
  • Hmm yeah - you never hear of people trying to flee Cuba. Must be perfect.

Blimey DG - that Redwatch is frikkin bizarre. Aimless pics of people at anti something or other rallies.

Bit like the threads pre FLM - 'whats your number ? Look out for mine' Only someone like Rainman could take all that in....

    Nasty simple people though.
  • cougie-its because the people want to live in a socialist system where people are treated as equal and not getting ripped off by the capitalists.
Watch out for the capitalist George w Bush stirring things up when Castro passes away.
  • But people do flee Cuba -

"After 40 years, the economic Standard of Living in Cuba is less than 1% of what it was in the decade of the 50's."

I've not been there, but I know it's not quite the utopia you seem to infer ?

I know quite a few people who have been there - I used to share an office with a guy who went over to advise the Cuban govt on various matters. From what I understand it isn't a perfect society by any means but neither would it be true to say the standard of living is lower than the 1950s - things like access to health care and education are extremely good. Of course it shouldn't be forgotten that a lot of the problems are down to the USAs policies towards Cuba which are a disgrace.
  • good call popsider.

Anyway what about finger printing children???/
