If you wear glasses, it's a nightmare, you can't see.
Don't think that will be a problem with 40,000 runners. I'm sure you'll be close to follow someone
That is pretty much how I used to play rugby, get team mates to point which way to go when I came out of the ruck or maul. Which they did, because I was a bit of an animal.
I wear contacts for surfing and in the days I played squash or football I'd wear them for that. They work in the rain. Mind you I don't like wearing them, and never bothered when running. However running in a crowd with wet glasses could be an issue.
I tried contact lenses last year. Seven visits it took and they couldn't get them right. I was ok in the little room but as soon as i walked out into the street everything was a total blur.
I'm now going to have to take a cap with me and hang it from my gel belt in case it does rain. And a spare pair of socks cos if my feet get wet too soon they'll be sore.
You'll easily spot me on tv, i'll be the one running with a trolley bag in tow.
Contact lenses can be difficult to get on with. I have the wrong kind. Of tears, so I can only wear them for two or three hours and then not day after day.

I can't run 26 miles in the rain. My feet would be wet and sore

Mind you, don't worry it rarely rains continuously for 4+ hours.

I know this as I lived with a leaky roof for a couple of years in the early 90s.

I hope I am not doing you a dis-service with 4+ hrs!

Anyway fingers crossed for you and all the many others on Sunday. You all deserve the best conditions possible.

Marathon running-wise I never liked a crowd, mainly I don't like people getting in the way.

I'm really nervous about the weather. I wear glasses and if they get wet my eyes will be trying to focus all over the place.
