Hi All,

I am an old man of 55 just started running in January this year, ran my 1st 1/2 at Reading (02:39:39)have run 8 1/2 so far. last few Dartford (02:10:10) and Pewesy (02:01:00) now want to brake the (02:00:00) barrier. Anyone want to run at around 02:00:00 to give each other incentive? if so look out for 287

Hello Tony. Unless they've changed it, Wolves isn't a flat course - look out for the long hill up the A449 from Wombourne, at about the 8 - 9 mile stage. But remember what goes up must come down - you're rewarded by a terrifically fast descent into Wolves town centre. The event is really well organised, great crowd support, and a super atmosphere. the course has changed this year - it is now 2 laps for the full marathon using the 2nd half of the old course so it no longer goes up the A449 or through the town centre. However it is still a fairly hilly course. good luck to all on sunday,

hope you did well tony.i did 1hr 25 min this morning and it hurt. the course was still hilly in parts wasnt it, especially between 9 and 11. anyway,keep up the good work. Tel.

Does anybody know where I can find the results of today's race? Did my 1st 1/2 marathon in 1.37, and I know I could have done much better. Just need to learn how to pace it better.

hope everyone had a good race today, was my first HM and finished in 1.30. Was on target for 1.25 but had to walk a couple of the climbs between miles 9 & 11 :-( guess pacing needs some improvement.
mick - if you live locally i think the results are printed in tomorrow's Express&Star.

no way, I was looking to do a PB but only managed 02:02 for tha 1/2 marathon. I have to look up to the full marathon runners! chatted to 4 runners who parked next to me. lovely day for sun bathing....
No a bd race, not too hard, but just a tad dissapointed with not getting a PB. Will now lookforward to Cransley. Please give a shpou to number 41 Tony xxx Love to all
