Oops. Sorry Tractor Boy. I've just looked back through my old e mails. Tim O'Sullivan kindly e mailed me on the 16th October with the relevant information. Apologies to him, and to you for putting you to un necessary trouble. Next time I'll remember the old maxim - RTFM ! See you on Sunday.
Down from Yorkshire for the weekend and fancy giving this a bash. Does anyone know if it is likely to be full as if not I will try and enter on the day.
I think this is a good race. Very wet if its wet but dry if its a cold day. The ditches are full if it has rained but empty otherwise. Shorts are better because if it has rained and the ditches are full they just drag u down with trousers. Its an easier race than the grim so dont be disappointed. Its great lovely atmosphere and the finish is brilliant with soup and in the past cold showers.
What a great race. Thank you all at Tadley. I enjoyed that very much. I was happy with 38:12 on my watch. I've no idea where I finished in the overall scheme of things, or in the V50 category, but heartiest congratulations to those of you who took the prizes, your times were excellent. Finally, the soup was very welcome as were the warm showers. I'd been expecting rather more Spartan conditions. See you next year.
Another lovely race by Tadley. I ran my best ever although not that quick for most. Hestitation at the first ditch and i let about 30 runners go ahead of me. But hey I never stopped and walked this year which is a first for me. Many thanks to the marshalls and for the soup. Shame did not stay for a shower would have been good for a hot one, in previous years they have been cold. Be back
I loved this race! Whilst I got to the start rather late and almost missed it, I thought it was very well organised (although signing to the car park could have been better if approaching from the west!).
But I was very pleased to finish second lady and get the team prize too :-)
The course wasn't nearly as bad as I was fearing, it was very well marshaled, friendly and a good bunch of runners. The soup was a great touch too!
Thanks to everyone for the kind remarks about our race - it makes all the effort we put into organising it seem worthwhile.
Yesterday was the 17th running of this race (first held in 1990) and the field was the largest we've ever had, so thanks to all who took part.
If anybody would like to do it again but can't wait a whole year there is a League race over exactly the same course on Sun 7 Jan 2007 and anybody is welcome to come along and run as a guest. The entry fee is a mere £2 and there is free food and drink afterwards.
Well I enjoyed that apart from having a chesty cold which made 4 miles to home a bit of a drag. I did wake up on Sunday morning and thought about bottling out but glad I gave it a go - 52 mins or so was not too bad for an old plodder either.
I will be back next year and hope to be fit this time.
Hi, is it possible to run on the 7th if we are members of another league, love this course and there are no races this week for us but Stubbington the following week.
Comments
Streams should be freshly replenished after all the recent rain....Joy
This is across the field (200m) from the Hurst Leisure centre which is used for our road races.
sounds right up my street an localish too.
hmmmm warm soup sounds like a good idea why don't more winter races do similar
See you all there.
What would you all suggest? Tracksters or shorts?
Sleep well and I'll see you in a few hours!
Thanks again Tadley Runners.
Enjoyed giving some mild abuse to the marshall near the finish who had an Ipswich Town hat on!
Enjoyed speaking to other runners, even after I took a wrong turn and nearly lead a couple of us the wrong way.
Enjoyed the streams and mud again and managed to stay upright and not lose a shoe.
Feel great today too.
andyp :-)

Anyone know when results/photos will be online?
Rach E, the results should be online either today or tomorrow and the photos later in the week. I will post a message on here when they are online.

Do you know Simon Holley who lives in Aldermaston? He supports I.T. too.
I will be back next year and hope to be fit this time.
Thanks to the organisers.
Happy with my 51 minutes, and will definately be back next year.
Soup was really nice, and just what was needed., Showers were a little weak, but they were warm which was great!!!
Thanks again.
I just wondered if anyone knew when the photos were going to be up?! Thank you!
