I made use of some bushes on Sunday - only to hear that previously someone had done the same but had trodden in poo... I escaped the poo this year - but my trainers did smell... but then blokes pee everywhere along the course at FLM - mix that with rain and there are some suspect puddles if you run near the edges (or walk as I did)
I got bored - mostly of people referring to me as 'doodle' and just plain bored... considering calling myself 'permanently injured'
I think it'd be a great idea to take the kids camping - I'd take mine but Mr DD is very flaky - and so is our eldest.... oh and there's the fact that neither of us can drive so we'd have to do it all on public transport.. that sort of sums it up!!!
BB - that's the funny thing - I still had energy at the end - I wasn't feeling wiped or anything - my run sections were about 2 mins per mile slower than my usual pace so I guess that twinned with my walk breaks really helped.. remember I wasn't fast!!
I was surprised that the tutu and deely boppers made it to the end.... arm warmers got chucked at 2 miles shame really - they were cool
I think there's something inherently wrong with my running style/gait/core strength.. having had plantar fasciitis and itbs - not looking too rosey, what other injuries can I develop because of my freaky gait/freaky feet?
I did actually manage to not recognise which baggage truck I needed - I forgot about that!!
I think when i am able to run again i will get the physio to make me run in a different way - like properly.
I am quite turned out at the hips from dancing when younger and my feet point more than the average person - think maybe you are right this can leave you more prone to injury when gait is altered from the norm. But then who is normal
LOL!! - I've just watched the mara highlights on iplayer - I'm spotted running (if you can call it that) over Tower Bridge - I'v got this weird hobbly run... my knee wasn't that sore at that point - it held on for another few miles before it got really bad.. so I must run like a freak!!
another coincidence my eyesight is cack well it is cack with and without my lenses - that reminds me must get prescription lenses for my swimming goggles
I will have to look on iplayer tomo and try to spot you.
I'm gone in a flash... Need to buy a pool/pull buoy.... off to wiggle I go,,, Need to learn to swim PMSL!!! Going to look at bikes too Mr DD gets his redundancy cheque on Friday
DD you couldn't do Mr BB a massive favour if you are out anywhere near a shop selling the evening standard - there is a FLM supplement you couldn't get him one and post it to me.
Morning ladies. Glad you mentined the Standard - I'd completely forgot it was Thursday and the day the supplement is out! Hope everyone is on the mend. My eyesight is pooh too - I've even managed to pick up glaucoma along the way! Enjoyed running in lenses for the first time this year - wearing glasses in that rain just wouldn't have worked.
Fantastic thanks - no sign of any achilles twinges or tendon problems so fingers crossed..... Am not doing anything this week though apart from resting. Will start using the cross trainer next week and taking part in a 5k Handicap Race on Saturday 26th April.
