Well you did more than me T. All I've done since Beachy is eat ever larger quantities of calorie-laden rubbish food. Perhaps I should give up running and take up sumo wrestling!!
The other Paul Allen (that's me) has finally been out for a "run" after Saturday. Nice and slow today, there was the slightest hill in the course and just a small amount of tarmac. However it in no way compares to the splendours of the Beachy Head course - it was fantastic, pity for being a little more cloudy than last year, and sore legs forced a great deal more walking over the last 4-5 sisters than last year. Despite the increased pain I still enjoyed it far more than any road race.
I have finally met Snowy (my clubmate) in his BHM costume with "Snowy" name attached. Up until then I was totally oblivious and hadn't got the connection. Feel really silly now I know.
legs are fine thanks Tracy, a bit sore round my hips if i stay in same position but I can trot the stairs. I'm still grinning, had such a great time despite feet on fire, I'll be back
Beebs - apologies for not saying hello - I was focusing on the prospect of a warm shower and a drive to Heathrow....the shower was cold, but at least DTB and I made the flight
CF- I did the Gatliff a couple of years ago and hope to do it again this year. I thought it was good fun - you have to follow a route sheet and it is reasonably hilly but not as "bad" as BH. I found it more of a challenge event rather than a run around as fast as you can like BH - which makes it even more sociable. There is food and tea at all of the controls and piles of sandwiches, sausage rolls etc at the mid point on the long route.
They record your start time so if you think you are going to be slow you can start early or if you are fast you set off later -

PSC, to quote from a few pages ago 'You are such a tart'
Is the Gatliff worth thinking about?
Cliff face
He is a right old tart.
Beebs
How are your legs?

How are you?
Beeps
My legs are almost back to normal. Don't have any speed in them, but didn't have much speed before Beachy.
Trying to ignore the rather 'itchy' throat. "I will not have a cold", "I will not have a cold".
Did a pretty lame interval sesh at the gym tonight (1 min @ 7mph, 2 @ 8). Still at least the legs kept moving!!
Kaz
Have you been kissing PSC
Kaz
You should be doing a recovery run, not a interval sesh. You naughty girl.

Too fast Kaz.
